MainStay Suites Appleton Airport - Fox River Mall Area

Disappointed that the hot tub was removed. The staff was not very friendly. The breakfast was not good. The eggs rubbery and sausage was rubbery as well. Last year it was very good and tasted fresh. This year it felt like no one really cared.

We stayed at the Residence Inn Appleton July 12 through July 14. I called ahead to be sure they use unscented detergent on all linens and would be willing to clean our room with unscented products. We were happy to find that they would do both and always use unscented detergents on linens. The hotel was clean, staff was friendly, breakfast was excellent and well stocked. Breakfast attendants were very friendly and accommodating. Especially appreciated the raw pumpkin seeds, walnuts and sliced almonds as oatmeal toppings. The oatmeal is not the quick cooked but the actual old fashioned rolled oats all cooked and ready to eat. They also had avocado and salsa options for the eggs. Two meat choices included pork sausage patty and Canadian bacon. Hotel was quiet. Air is the air conditioning controlled by a thermostat and ran through vents instead of a big noisy machine in the room. The only complaint is that there is not a garbage can in the kitchen and bedroom. We had two rooms and found that to be true for both. Would definitely stay again.

The room smelling so bad of cigarettes covered up by an almost equally as bad smell of “perfume”, made it almost impossible to sleep. The pull-out couch was not comfortable even for a kid. Would not recommend this hotel at all.

The location, staff and the cleanliness

WARNING...After hundreds of hotel nights, I had never experienced theft of my belongings until the Residence Inn Appleton. Management was unsympathetic and unapologetic, with the only solution being..."we could have helped you scour the room in search of it." Hello! The item was stolen by someone who had access to my room!

February 17, 2024. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!! NO POOL NO HOT TUB didn't find out until we were checked in. 1st room had a TV that only faced the bed room. 2nd room sounded like you were in a wind tunnel, fridge sounded like it was reving up to take off, there a dog across the hall that has been barking for the last 2 hours. The TV in this room is so dark and of course you can't adjust the brightness. February 18th, wake up call at 6:56 from the 2 barking dogs across the hall, again they barked until 8:38. The dispensers in the tub for body wash, shampoo and conditioner are empty. Turned on the tub and the water.was brown, let it run for 5 minutes. At.7:30 there was nothing left a the breakfast they offer. All I can.say is what a joke of a hotel, thank goodness it is only for 1 night. I also have travel insurance and will be filing a claim for inconvenience when I get home. This is no joke DO NOT STAY HERE unless you want to get disappointed.

big reason we stayed here was pool. Pool was down. They did do their best to make up for it. But telling 3 kids they cant swim when that was what they were expecting is disappointing. But manager showed she cared and did her best will give her kudos for that.

This hotel is clean and well run. It is very close to the airport and convenient for business travelers. You can't walk into town but it is a 10 minute UBER. Pool and hot tub were both broken during my visit but the gym was usable. Not much on the free breakfast side but if you want coffee, juice, and yogurt you are good to go. All in all, perfect for a business trip

Stayed one night and room was nice, but faucet ran all the time and so did the toilet. Room had all the amenities, but for $200 i thought that maintenance would be kept up a little more.
