Millennium Harbourview Hotel Xiamen

Their location is great. Just beside the famouse ZhongShan road 中山路. And the new MRT line is also just beside the hotel. But their room is another thing to consider. Although their rooms are spacious and their twin rooms have 2 double beds, their bed mattress is hard. The pillows are also poor as it too soft and will sink. If you're staying here for a few nights, then this wouldn't be a problem. But you plan to stay for almost a week, like us, then you will feel a difference in your sleep.

The hotel is very well located with Metro station line 1 next to it; Zhonghua Cheng Shopping mall opposite and Zhongshan walking street nearby. We booked the superior room after reading review that this room type was refurbished. The twin-bedded room was just sizable enough to fit two and the bath room was small. wifi was rather weak. Swimming pool is closed during our stay and the gym has very basic equipment plus a yoga room. Not sure about the breakfast varieties at CNY 170 per person but you can easily find food nearby. The hotel provides complimentary 2-way airport shuttle bus service which is a plus point. For the service level, I have mixed reviews for front desk staff. The person who did our check-in was helpful in responding to our complaint of the cigarette smell in non-smoking room. However another young lady staff on duty next day afternoon seemed to be blurred yet impatient when we tried to pick up our new room cards after the first one arranged for change of rooms. Perhaps the hotel should consider imposing penalty on those guests smoking in a non-smoking room for the courtesy of next occupant. In summary, this is a very convenient hotel to stay when exploring Xiamen if you can manage expectation.

Spent 3 nights here with the family. Location is excellent, just opp a big mall and a stone's throw away to the Zhongshan walking street. Just next to a station of new MRT line but didn't explore that. Counter staff were efficient at best, but lukewarm reception was much to be desired. Not friendly at all. WIFI in this hotel was the worst I've experienced in a long time. All 9 of us could hardly connect to the WIFI - at best we could download the msgs, don't even think of sending a photo or downloading any graphics or videos. Mattress was too firm for our liking, pillows too soft and flat. Housekeeping is efficient, room and toilets were clean.

Looking grand and classy but room is still nothing to shout about given the higher price, the pillows are a joke. The location though is super convenient, all the tourist walking areas and nearby and somewhat sheltered. There are better hotels around with the same price tag. If you want comfort during your stay then avoid this.

It was a good hotel with good staff. Helping me for different things.

When we checked in the first day we were admitted into a room with so much construction noise around us. Additionally the hotel was so run down in the bathroom and carpet. We were tired after travelling and would like to get some sleep in the late afternoon. We couldn't. So we requested for a room change and that was great as it was a newly renovated one.

Stay for 5 nights vacation, great location and good breakfast. Friendly staff.

Good choice near shopping areas.

Nice location with a sub way station just outside property. Lots of restaurants and shops at the location. Walking distance to Oversea Chinese Museum(free), Xiamen University and a Nanputuo-A famous Buddhist Temple.
