The suite itself was spacious and comfortable. The staff tried their best to assist, especially during checkout when we raised our concerns. They offered a late checkout extension and arranged for nurses to see us.

We booked a Deluxe Suite to celebrate Mother’s Day, so the experience was disappointing overall. We spent most of the afternoon and evening at the Horizon Club lounge, from afternoon tea to cocktails. Afterwards, my mother started feeling unwell and unusually cold, to the point that we had to turn off the air conditioning completely before sleeping. I also woke up with a stuffy nose and dry throat, which may have been due to the room air conditioning. After breakfast the next morning, my mother experienced diarrhea and I had an upset stomach. Breakfast at Circles around 9 AM was underwhelming. Several dishes, including the miso soup, were not hot enough to consume properly, and even basic items like the omelette were disappointing. Some staff also appeared disengaged and inattentive. Before checkout, I also found a cockroach inside the dresser while changing. I raised these concerns during checkout. The hotel offered to extend our stay for a few more hours, but we chose to proceed with checkout because we simply wanted to go home after the experience. Nurses were also sent to see us, although it did not meaningfully help the situation. A few hours after checkout, I checked my card charges and noticed that the amounts charged did not match the final bill presented to us, including an additional unexplained charge. When I called Horizon Club, the staff who answered could not clarify the discrepancy immediately and said they needed to check with finance. This added further frustration to an already disappointing stay. Overall, the stay felt far below the standard I remember from Makati Shangri-La years ago. The staff seemed to try their best, but the overall execution and experience fell short.

A truly exceptional stay. From the moment you arrive, everything feels perfectly curated down to the smallest detail. The atmosphere is elegant yet welcoming, creating a genuine sense of comfort and luxury throughout the entire experience. The service is outstanding, warm, attentive, professional, and always delivered with a smile. Every member of staff makes you feel genuinely cared for, and the level of hospitality is among the best I have experienced. The room was simply splendid, beautifully designed with breathtaking views over the city. The pool area is wonderful: peaceful, stylish, impeccably maintained. I honestly loved every minute spent there. A refined and memorable hotel experience that made my stay in Manila truly special.

The only small aspect that could be improved was the breakfast pastry selection. While the variety was good overall, the sweet options did not feel freshly baked. Personally, I would have appreciated fresh croissants and homemade-style cakes rather than industrial pastries or pre-baked confectionery. Aside from this minor detail, the experience was truly excellent.
