The seasonal pool will be open from March to September. Pool access available from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM.Reservations are required for golf tee times and spa treatments. Looking forward to a beautiful place with full golf activity opportunities along with relaxing hours to be spent with my 18 & 14 yr old kids…there was much left to be desired. There was no notification upon booking that the 2 golf courses would be unavailable for play except the back 9 of one of the courses. The golf cart rental was more than our auto rental. Food & service was not impressive. The cottage pools were overrun with loud & non rule abiding people and poorly supervised children. There was no bar service available as advertised at the lodge pool. The grounds were poorly kept especially around the discovery bldg and other areas. The cottage mattresses & pillows left myself and my 14 sore w little comfort to sleep. It was a shame that our experience was not one to recommend Calloway to anyone going forward.

"Expansive resort with extensive naturalist exhibits, spa, water sports and golf."

This expansive resort features gardens, lake sports, naturalist exhibits, spa and golf course on a substantial property of forests, lakes and meadows, meticulously kept. Accommodations include a comfortable, modern, lodge house and a variety of housekeeping cottages. Staff are super friendly. Food available from a half dozen restaurants and cafes is well-prepared from a typical southern menu; vegetarian options are limited. Naturalist exhibits are excellent with good interpretive programs. Butterfly conservancy is exceptional.

We have stayed several times. If you love nature this place is worth visiting. Beautiful gardens walking paths, and a beautiful Chapel in the woods with a pipe organ that is played on the weekends. You can hear it playing as your walking through the woods. The Butterfly Avery is amazing and we spend hours in there each time we go.
