Ventura Grand Inn

It is a family-owned business. They clearly put their heart and soul into the place. I read a couple of reviews saying it is unclean, which was not the case at all for us.

It has some deferred maintenance. Some of the furniture is in good condition and some really needs replacement. It has a low price point for a reason.

Plenty of room for everyone and gear. Hot water runs nice and staff were very friendly and accommodating. I really like that the toilet and sink are split up. Made it easy to get ready with multiple people.

Could definitely use more hooks to hang jackets or towels. And the heater was a bit weak, but the room did warm up after some time.

Room was dirty , tub was dirty and towels too .. left early due to that

very ugly old room, bathtub is damaged with white repair patches. a complete rip off at room rate US123 per night.

We had a very pleasant stay at Ventura Grand Inn. The location is perfect for chasing fall colors — just 8 minutes to Twin Lake and 30 minutes to Convict Lake. The hotel exceeded our expectations; the listing photos don’t do it justice. The property is beautifully decorated in a rustic country style, and our room was very spacious, clean, and equipped with a microwave and fridge that worked perfectly. The owner/receptionist was extremely friendly and helpful. When we accidentally left our room key one night, he came to our rescue within minutes — such a thoughtful touch! There’s also plenty of free parking. Overall, a highly recommended stay for anyone visiting the area.
