Friendly staff comfortable rooms, great location

Had dinner in the pub at The Daniel Webster. Really terrible service. Brian was our waiter. Was not pleasant and service was to say the least abrupt. Brian likes to throw the drink and plates down hard. Maybe we did not order enough garner him a big tip. Never again.

In a nutshell it was not at all what I anticipated. I solely made our choice based on the pictures and description from the website which has been very nicely done. We have been going to Cape Cod for many years and chose to stay in Sandwich this yr The idea of 'historic" was enticing however there is 'historic and classic" and there is "historic and staid". We found the Daniel Webster Inn to be very staid and does not appear to have been maintained nor updated (in a historic manner) in quite some time. The bathrooms are very small and dated with no walk in showers (except in the suites) and a very tiny shower head. In addition no toiletries and a small TV stored in a cabinet The furniture is also very old (not in a historic way). It was in no way worth the value of the price and we have stayed in many other more costly places (so not about the money) While it was clean it was not what we expected. I could not recommend staying here.

On Saturday September 27th, 2025, we hosted our friends and family at the Dan'l Webster for our daughter's wedding. From the very first communications, the wedding coordinators (Marla and Michelle) provided us with superb service and excellent advice. They thought of everything! The night of the wedding, the food was outstanding and the staff was incredible-- they were attentive and very patient with our group that was very varied (22-100 years old!) We are so grateful for the excellent service they provided us: professional, adept, kind. We have zero regrets about booking our daughter's wedding at the Dan'l Webster and encourage anyone who is planning a Cape Cod wedding to consider this gem of a venue!!

Very comfortable room. Clean and updated. Great location

The staff was exceptional, the rooms were clean quiet and quaint. The area was close to where we had a family event and yet there were local shops to 'visit' during our stay. The in-house restaurant was convenient and the breakfast food menu was very good. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. I especially want to commend the reservation clerk. It was after 10: p.m. and Amanda booked us immediately into our room. She even helped with directions to the Hotel. (We had reservations at a local motel that never sent us our room number or entry code.) We were basically stranded without a place to go. I'm so grateful that we were able to get accommodations. Amandas compassion and concern for us was beyond the scope of duty. Thank you for making our stay perfect.

Staff is accommodating & helpful, knowledgeable about the surrounding area & things to do nearby. This area of Sandwich is quaint, lots within walking distance & great little shops & bars.

The room was comfortable and the restaurant was delicious. It's situated in the perfect location. It was the perfect atmosphere for our anniversary getaway.
