"Quick overnight stay"

Location was good. Room was clean and comfortable. Front desk check in staff very nice.

Would have liked to have a bottle of water for the coffee pot. I stayed at an Aloft the night prior and it was a nice little perk.

"Broken Courtyard by Marriott in Chesapeake"

The rooms were nice and modernized, but everything else was bad. We tried to go up in the elevator, and it dropped and got stuck. The alarm button did not work, but somehow able to get back to the ground floor. The indoor pool is inoperative. The fitness room had two treadmills with duck tape on the belts. One was out of commission, and I can see why. The internet is barely alive, NETFLIX, Amazon, and Utube are kaput. Everything outside of the room appears to be run down and in need of help. Very disappointed visit to a hotel chain we have trusted in the past.

We requested cleaning service, and fresh towels at check in. We never received any of it. The elevator had holes in the interior walls. There was a strange odor in the room when we walked in and we never figured out what it was. The first floor at the elevator halfway looked like a disaster area. Glass doors were brown papered off, with "do not enter" written on it with a marker. Looked like a child did this. For a "Courtyard Marriot", it was shabby. The staff were very nice, but you rarely seen anyone at the front desk. For the price, it was a dud

Our room was clean and well maintained, as it seemed like the rest of the property was also. Staff was kind and professional. Helped us get checked in and covered all of our needs. The room itself was very spacious. I would recommend this hotel and would gladly stay again.
