Courtyard Chesapeake Greenbrier

The staff was warm and welcoming, i was a little nervous due to the reviews and once I booked I got an email about them being under construction....i didn't have high expectations, just needed a hotel. The moment i got there, the staff was friendly and helpful on shopping in the area and where i could eat. my room was newly renovated and very nice. I will be coming back to stay, as I have frequent trips to the area.

Hotel is in process of upgrade. Room was all new, very clean. Could have better bedding, sheets were very stiff.

Staff at night was great.

Hotel is being renovated. We were in one of the new rooms and it was very comfortable. Staff was friendly. Good location for our plans in Norfolk. Plenty of parking. Breakfast, as at all Courtyards, is overpriced, but there are a lot of other options in walking distance.

Was a good overnight stopping point for a long trip.

The stay was awesome, but check out was a disaster for guests. How can a Marriott Hotel have only one luggage cart for guests to use for check in and check out. We had to make several trips up to our room. All the guest were complaining. This was unacceptable for any hotel especially a Marriott Hotel. Mr. Parker.

The clerks were polite and competent. The room was clean. We paid top dollar for a bare-bones experience. There weren't any travel sized shampoo, conditioner, or body wash. They had an unknown brand of particularly harsh product in pump bottles permanently affixed to the shower wall that left my skin dry. The door wasn't tight; it let light in around the perimeter. The shower door wasn't hung correctly, and rolled open until we stuffed a washcloth in to keep it closed. Breakfast was available, but not free. There's plenty of competition nearby, so I'll stay elsewhere next time.

The hotel is under renovation and there is dust all over. The lobby does not have coffee until 7 am. This is very inconvenient if you need to leave early. The breakfast muffins were given to us frozen after we paid top dollar for them. We were there for three nights and not once did they replace towels, empty garbage in room or make up the bed. I do not mind making my bed. I am sick of these hotels not replacing towels or emptying the trash. At least give us the necessary items to take care of tidying our room. Example: Toilet cleaning brush, extra toilet tissue paper roll, Kleenex, and trash bags. What is going on with Marriott’s hotel service. We should not need to go to the front desk after a long day to get towels to take a shower each night of our stay. This is inexcusable.
