Red Lion Inn and Suites Everett

This was hands down the worst experience I’ve ever had. I was threatened in the parking lot upon arrival and after seeing to different rooms that were completely filthy smelled strongly of smoke and other foul smells. The area was very unsafe. I hope that nobody has to experience some thing this bad ever.

It was a cheap room at the last minute.

First off, we got a room here because they offered a pack and play, which they didn't have on site.... then, we got to our room, big black footprint on one of the beds....assuming the blanket was unwashed, went and asked for an extra blanket, received a couple extra sheets, which my wife and I used as a blanket so our kids could be warm and somewhat comfortable.... our dog kept coming out from under the couch with what was either French fries or potato chips, and when our daughter sat on the ottoman with a damp towel so we could get her dressed, she stood up and the towel was brown and filthy. Room was disgustingly dirty, but what can you do when you check in at 8 PM?

Online, it said our checkout time was noon, but the housekeeper knocked on our door shortly after 11 and told us we were wrong about the checkout time; she was incredibly rude. Even when we told her and showed her our confirmation, which said noon, the whole night was disrupted by people banging things and someone's dog barking, and to wake up and realize the room had no coffee maker.

It was not well cared for. Breakfast was not a breakfast. Sugary cereal and bread with no butter.

Where to start... Sadly my first impression was bad right when I pulled up and parked under covering, and some homeless lady was coming out the doors shouting profanities at someone inside, and continued to do so as walked around the front of my car. The desk guy ended not being very helpful and never told me where anything is in the hotel, I had to figure it out myself. First room the floor was dirty with chocolate particles on floor next to bed, so I asked for another. Second room (#310) was somewhat better but also floor not very clean either, and seems all the floors are sticky and I was told it's the cleaning product they use. The second bed frame was broken on the end and you cannot sit there. There was hair in the tub from previous guest. Bathroom sink was slow draining, along with tub. If you want breakfast, don't expect any decent food available or even coffee or even cups, haha.They literally ran out of coffee AND cups one morning! The nice English speaking desk lady was very apologetic and honest, and said that sometimes she has to run to the store and buy coffee cups so that the guests can have coffee, and pays for it out of her own pocket. There's no creamer, just empty shelves that used to house them, and only milk in fridge. There might be a Ding Dong or Twinkle or some other tiny packaged pastry, but no fruit or anything hot. Broken juice machine. There's bread and a toaster, but no butter. It took 3 days requesting house cleaning to finally get it.

Front desk service was great incoming. Bed: pretty comfortable but very creaky. Shower: had hair on the wall. Bathroom: had a funky smell, like someone had just used it. Towel rack was bent down. Door bolt wouldn't engage. Seemed like just another old motel someone bought and put a little money into and slapped a new name on. Was quiet and works if you are OK with below average cleanliness and maintenance but we won't be back.

The hotel was mediocre. My room needed a deep clean. The hallways were also dirty and needed clean. There was a lot of noise all night.

Breakfast options were twinkies and cup cakes. No bowls for cereal. Really no options
