Location was good.

Elevator is not working. Sounded like a 6 week lead time. Had to take the stairs any time I wanted to leave. AC in room was not able to be adjusted.

This place is gorgeous and the best rooms I have ever stayed in. The rooms are huge and the bathrooms are fantastic!!! The location is also great and it has the coolest little restaurant/bar attached to it called Fitz and the Wolfe. If you like live music, you can pick between two genres of music, one upstairs and a speakeasy downstairs along with pool tables. If that is not your thing, no problem because it does not interrupt your stay at the hotel is you just want peace and quiet. It is in the heart of downtown and you can walk to anything. There is also shopping, chocolate, smoothies, a spa and another restaurant all attached to it. It’s like a little mall. It highly, highly recommend this place. Beautiful place!!

The main elevator was out of service during our stay. The hotel was pretty empty and overall felt a little dated.

Front desk staff was fantastic. Upgraded to a beautiful king suite!

Restaurant not open during week, although many close enough it really didn't hamper anything.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but this stay was unacceptable—especially for a hotel at this price point. I stayed at Haywood Park Hotel in Asheville for an extended family reunion and paid almost $1,000 for a multi-night stay May 20th-25th. Upon arrival, guests were informed that all elevators were out of service. My room was on the third floor (effectively the fourth due to a mezzanine level). I explained that I have significant spine and an Achilles issue and physically struggle with stairs, I specifically booked a room with a walk-in shower for these reasons, but there was no meaningful accommodation offered beyond someone carrying my luggage. To make matters worse, the room initially smelled so strongly of bleach/cleaner that my eyes burned and I could not remain inside. After multiple trips up and down several flights of stairs in summer heat to report the issue, the room was eventually treated and became tolerable. The elevator situation continued through Thursday, requiring repeated trips up and down unairconditioned stairwells and significantly aggravating existing physical issues. I ended up taking more pain medication during this trip than I had in weeks. Friday morning, I was suddenly informed there was access to an elevator through the connected atrium and, if needed, rooms were available at the sister hotel next door—with an offer to move our whole group. That was difficult to hear after spending two days struggling physically. It left me wondering why solutions or accommodations were not offered earlier. On top of this, key cards repeatedly stopped working (for me and family members), requiring additional inconvenience, and promised gestures—including comped valet parking—never materialized. I want to be fair: staff members themselves were polite and seemed to be trying to manage a difficult situation. My room and bed were comfortable once the odor issue was addressed. But hotel management handled this poorly. Historic property or not, charging premium rates while leaving guests with mobility concerns climbing multiple flights for days without proactive accommodations is not acceptable. I left early because I simply wanted to get home and recover.

The location is great.

Hotel is dated. Our room seemed dusty. The flat Iron across the street was the same price.

Awesome stay, exceptional staff, clean, clean, clean! Can't wait to go back.
