Residence Inn Rockford

We enjoyed our stay. I think our only complaint was the waffle iron during breakfast wasn't cooking our waffles thoroughly. Our room was bigger than i expected as it came with a kitchenette and a large sofa bed, perfect for me and my 2 kids.

It was just musty and rundown. The front desk girl was so sweet though!

The property is more tired, more dirty and more cheaply managed than I would have expected even knowing it wouldn’t be great (based on prior reviews). The room was super dated, walls peeling in bathroom, bathroom door didn’t shut, outlets didn’t work, and the couch was as thin as was possible. Breakfast was all processed foods, never any fresh bananas, oatmeal container empty and the weakest coffee I have ever tasted. Oh and tacking on a parking charge without asking if I have a car, nor disclosing this charge is as tacky and cheap as can be. As a titanium member, I wanted the points but will go non-Marriott next time I’m in Rockford.

This hotel could use some updates for sure, but it was clean and our room was HUGE. We stayed in the 2 bedroom that also had a separate livingroom and kitchen area. Would stay here again for sure.

The staff was friendly. It was nice to a breakfast option. There was a crack in the bathroom sink and the wall-mounted soap was broken. The room was a bit outdated. The service was good.

The staff was extremely friendly. But from the missing hot tub that was pictured, to the disappointing breakfast service. The value for the cost was not there.

The staff was friendly and helpful. The property could use some maintenance - peeling wallpaper in the bathroom, tiles chipped or missing grout. The cleaning seemed really good but when I opened the dishwasher wondering where all of the dishes were, it was almost full with dirty dishes. The breakfast seemed good (I didn't try everything) but I was really disappointed when the coffee was cold. Microwaves fix a lot.

Good value for money and good breakfast

Worn down and tired. Wallpaper falling off walls in shower, rollout mattress stained, rickety key entry took about 20 tries to get it to work on the outside of the building, but kind people working front desk, and breakfast options were reasonable. Typical options with limited hot dishes, bacon and scrambled eggs, jimmy dean pre-wrapped sausage sandwiches, and some sort of egg omelet that looked institutionally prepared. Cold cereal and yogurt options. Overall, bleh. One bedroom suite was tight with very little room to walk around. Not suitable for little kids who need to move or limited mobility folks. Desk too big for space, TV awkwardly low and positioned in the room, couch had stains and tears. The tiny bathroom only accessible through main bedroom. Overpriced for what we were prepared for. Quiet though and easily accessible to E. State street where the freeways come together and easy access to dining.

Nice place. Room was clean and spacious. Road construction was passable. Local dining options were kinda pricey with long wait times. Woild stay there again though.
