Stunning location. Comfy large bed. Large lodge and bonus of a fridge. Fabulous view from the lodge.

The room gets very warm from the sun, so air conditioning would be a welcome addition

Cosy, comfortable, beds were comfy, place was really clean, very well equipped, bathroom was a good size, parking space large, very easy to find, great location to walk into Ambleside, wifi fine for phone browsing/searching whilst there. A travel cot was provided for our toddler and when we arrived the mattress base had a slat missing and I called to report it and someone arrived immediately to swap it for a replacement one that was not broken, so great service. Beautiful surroundings and so peaceful. Shared garden with the next door holiday cottage, there didn't seem to be a dishwasher but not a major issue unless we missed where it was, but there was a washing machine, microwave, toaster, kettle, fridge, freezer and over and electric hob, kitchen could have done with a grater and a sieve, the path to the front door was very slippy when wet, but we realised before it caused a fall. A highchair would be useful for younger children./babies-preferably an ikea one! The tv apps/internet didn't seem to work, but we weren't there to watch tv so didn't matter to us. Would definitely stay here again, and was about a 25 minute walk to Ambleside.
