Bournemouth Highcliff Marriott Hotel

We enjoyed a nice few days in this peaceful hotel which had everything we needed. We particularly chose this hotel for its close proximity to the chair lift down the cliff to the beach ,giving a flat walkway along the beach and then back up using the lift.. Due to a landslip this lift was out of action which severely curtailed our access to the main part of Bournemouth. Due to mobility issues it was necessary to take a taxi to and from the hotel. Sadly this means we would not book this hotel again.

Please be aware this hotel uses Parking Eye. I stayed at the hotel all parking was sorted at the hotel number plate given etc. I checked again on leaving everything was ok. Numerous contact with the hotel via email and telephone to no avail although promises it’s been sorted. I’m really disappointed with how this matter has been dealt with and the stress it’s caused. No contact information for Parking Eye it’s impossible unless you’re paying! AVOID

Family stay hotel right near beach amazing views very grand interior with lots of space to get around. Outside pool was an added pleasure especially as it was a hot day. Bar has outside patio which is lovely in the hot weather. Definitely stay again

Perfect location , spacious clean room , very good facilities .

The room was spacious and comfortable with partial sea views. Bed very comfortable and large king size. Housekeeping was excellent. The food at breakfast was not up to standard. Food on buffet not replenished and luke warm.

We stayed on Friday night in a large room with sofa on the first floor. Check in was with thoughtful young gentelmen who changed our room allocation out of his own accord to something more spacious with partial sea view and we were grateful to him as it made our stay so much more comfortable as we drove there straight after work and were looking to relax. Room was fresh, in good decorative order. Windows were opening a crack, aircon worked. We went to the restaurant overlooking the sea and ordered escargot, ravioli and lamb. Everything was well presented and tasty with decent value. Next morning we went down for two espresso and were charged £16 at the bar. Excuse me, not even in Mayfair coffee costs that much. It was outrageous! Parking is also problematic, there are limited, tight spaces on the back of the hotel with nothing left when we arrived so we had to park at public „pay and display”. The price was quite high when we stayed, hope to return when rate is more reasonable.

Lovely hotel with fabulous views. Perfect position for exploring Bournemouth and surrounding areas. Friendly staff. Would definitely recommend.

The hotel is in prime position to make the most of the stunning bournemouth coast line. The car park is tight and there is a cost to it but we had no issue with finding a space just took a few back and forths to get it in. The staff are wonderful and we had the loveliest experience checking in (so sorry didnt get the name of the staff member). We had one room in one of the cottages and one in the Dorchester building - the cottage suite had lovely views and the bed so comfortable. The bathroom is a bit dated but not an issue for a one night stay. We ate at the Brasserie Blanc for dinner and again the staff were amazing. The outdoor pool on a sunny sunday morning was perfect! Okay it's not the plushiest, newest of hotels but the location is perfect for the BIC and surrounding areas.

We had a wonderful check in service and the rooms (one being a cottage) was lovely. Parking is tight in the car park and the bathrooms are clean but a bit dated but the staff are fabulous and the views and setting are wonderful!
