Bournemouth Highcliff Marriott Hotel

Very old Hotel Very high situation to the beach..the lift to access the beach was not working..we have to go down and up walking a horrible sloppy ramp.. If you have knee problems ,don't go unless the lift is working. Very weak breakfast..bad service..old carpets.

It was amazing

Excellent location, Helpful staff, Great Breakfast Stayed for 2 nights , we had 2 rooms (1 for us, 1 for adult children) 1 room was in another building with a view of the street, the other had a beautiful ocean view. The hotel is old yet grand and well maintained. The location is fabulous with everything needed close by. Train station is a close walk.

The hotel staff were very friendly, the rooms were lovely, clean & the beds were very comfortable. On site parking & heated outdoor pool. Breakfast was very good. Overall stay was excellent.

Lovely hotel, rooms are spacious. It was difficult to get a bed by the pool though.

I was in one of the cottage's, which despite a fantastic view, was disappointing. It hadn't been modernised in some time and was sub standard. The carpet was threadbare, the room lacked a sufficient number of UK 3 pin plugs and had an inefficient air conditioning unit which sounded like it was trying to take off. Completely different to the modern room of a colleague in the main hotel. The heated outdoor pool and lawn, with amazing views of the sea, were wonderful. However, the number of corporate events held made these largely inaccessible to guests. The bar and restaurant in which breakfast was served were well decorated. The selection of breakfast options was good, with freshly made omelettes on request. The hotel's location was fantastic, on a steep hill, but within walking distance of the pier & winter gardens.

We have been staying here on and off for a few years and always have a lovely and relaxing time. The rooms are high spec and spacious. Mini fridge, water and good tea/coffee. Always able to get oat milk without a problem.bed extremely comfortable and good linen. Bar area nice, well stocked and friendly staff. The Brasserie Blanc restaurant is very good. Fresh omelettes and fresh breads. Breakfast outside overlooking the sea! Perfect. Wine is very good even the house. Sad that the leisure facilities aren’t there anymore but the hotel is beach front so short stroll to the beautiful beach. Car parking available but free in the road if you can find a spot.
