Club Comanche Hotel, St. Croix

I didn’t like anything about the property, no parking no front desk clerk, you have to walk down a long alley from the government parking lot, if I stay there during the week, I’ll have to pay to park. If you’re out late night, and have to walk to the hotel, there’s a possibility that you might get rob.

The room was way too small, there were towels from the previous person, and there were roaches in my room.

Before I start, this hotel was built in the 1700’s so it’t obviously old but throw in a couple of hurricanes and Covid over the past few years, and it’s not been treated well. I feel for these guys because the staff has been super super nice and accommodating. The property has some history, including the original hand crank elevator (obviously mo longer in use, but cool to see). There is housekeeping service and our late check in was contactless. Limited staff but the entrance requires a code. Our room had the best view (ask for corner room 29 facing the harbor). Our first room was a two story suite with a balcony and view but I think it hadn’t been occupied for some time and just needed a freshen up. We called after 8pm and the manager on call switched us right away. Easy peasy. Not a big deal. If you are looking for amenities, this is not it but we didn’t care. Pool is closed and no breakfast but plenty of places for that just outside the door. The Courtyard next door is also a full on spa with yoga and fitness classes. Fantastic place to fill the amenity void. Plus, who needs a pool when the best one on the planet is steps away? We came for the adventure and views not to stay inside and this place is in a perfect location. 40 Eats and RAW (Rum And Wine Bar) at the street level of the hotel are seriously not to be missed! Amazing food and staff. Thank you Bob and Sharif for accommodating us and being so responsive! My Birthday week has been amazing! :)

We stayed in the original part of the hotel, and it is so charming! We were right downtown Christiansted- literally a block away from the boardwalk. The room was big, and mostly clean, with beautiful furnishings. The room was also affordable, I would stay again.

Had done a check-in review where room hadn't been cleaned...so seeing the room the put me in, had a lovely view of the bay. It is a unique hotel, which you can tell is a few older homes. That have this great entertaining/bar area, but it wasn't open with covid stuff. Make sure if you get upstairs rooms, that you can navigate. Room 36 had a small spiral staircase up to the bedroom/loft. A larger person couldn't get up this...plus the only bathroom is downstairs. Pretty cool older property within walking distance of 10 good places to eat/drink.

No one was at the front desk when we arrived. Front desk closes at 7pm, however no one was there upon arrival. We called the contact numbers listed for access to booked room. It took almost three hours to get this resolved. Owner had to pay for us to stay at another nearby hotel since the front desk attendant was not available / or unable to be reached in order to check us in. What a nightmare!

I LOVED THE ROOM WE WERE IN, WE COULD SET IN BED AND HAVE COFFEE WHILE WATCHING THE BOATS IN THE HARBOR.I WISH THEIR POOL WAS IN SERVICE BECAUSE I LOVE TO USE A POOL WHEREVER WE GO.ALSO THEY WHERE IN THE PROCESS OF CLEAN UP AROUND THE BACK OF HOTEL. THE RESTUARANTS AROUND THE HOTEL ARE FABULOUS

The property was beautiful with old island charm but in great need of renovation (paint & thicker walls)to be fully realized. Entrance was hard to find at night so arrive early. Best suited for adults.

That it had a casablanca type feel to it

Its a great spot. Needs to be updated. No pool. No coffee, rooms need microwave ovens.
