Courtyard by Marriott Riverfront New Bern

I liked that it had a fitness Center, even though it was very small. I liked that it was a good location for walking to the local restaurants and minimal sites.

Rooms feel dark and a bit outdated.

The bottom floor room was MOLDY and STUNK. The room looked cheap, especially for $308 per night. I moved out and went to the Hilton Tapestry and got fantastic room and service sans the stink for $60 less. The grounds are rather stark. I DO NOT RECOMMEND this hotel

Great view of the river from the room. Convenient to restaurants and shops; in a beautiful historic district.

The rooms were comfortable, the location is great and breakfast was delicious!

Room layout was well put together

Great location. Hotel did not offer any complimentary beverages except water. No coffee or tea. The rooms were extremely musty smelling and the bathroom was not as clean as i would prefer, some mildew growing in the grout, paint peeling from walls, baseboards dirty

We paid $1,242.50 for a four night stay. We were told we’d get a “ room refresh” after two days. It never happened. On day two, the housekeeper asked me if we needed anything. I said that two fresh bath towels would be nice. The towels never came. At the end of the day, I went to the front desk and got towels myself and told the person at the front desk we hadn’t had a room refresh. I was told that this would be reported. Over our stay, no one ever brought fresh towels, took away dirty towels, provided clean glasses, or emptied the trash. At $1,242.50 for only four nights, I expect better service. The bathroom is very poorly designed, with a “fancy” rack for clean towels but no good place for wet bath towels. The only rack for bath towels has them hanging on the toilet. Gross! The fitted sheets don’t stay on the bed. We were there for one of the busiest weekends of the year, so why did two housekeepers have so much leisure time that two of them took up two of the three lounge chairs in the lobby?

We enjoyed our stay at the Courtyard by Marriott in New Bern and booked a king room with balcony. The views were very nice. The room itself was large but the AC was leaking and the carpet was wet in the room and leaked onto the patio outside. The AC was not very cold either but kept the room decent. The room itself was overall clean and nice. The staff were very accommodating and nice during check in and out making the process easy.
