Best Western Gastonia

First room assignment smelled badly of cigarette smoke. Asked for a new room and they accommodated. Second room was better.

Nothing.

Our TV did not work, the front desk worker was very rude when we asked for new towels because they took our dirty ones but did not leave no more. I won't be staying there again.

The room was standard and fine but there is no elevator at the property and parking was very tight for large vehicles.

Didn't like that on the page it says the pool was open but when we got there they didn't have it open caused need some fixes

Updated??? Yeah the lobby, don’t judge this book by its shiny cover. The story sucks. The non-smoking rooms are the mustiest, smokiest smelling rooms ever. The AC in the unit rattles if you turn it on, so that adds to the unbearable stinch. In fairness we got to our room very late and didn’t complain or ask for a new room because we already had to complain about the lock not working at first. If you can get over the crackheads out front this might be a good place to stay. Best Western used to stand for something, clearly not anymore. If I could give this place a 0 that would be too high.

Location and value. Coffee was unusually good too.

Scrambled eggs were not the best, but really better than other such efforts experienced in other comparable locations.

Ac made a lot of noise.
