Best Western Gastonia

Room was clean. Was surprised at the breakfast they offered. Wasn't expecting to see scrambled eggs, sausage, hashbrowns, biscuits and even make your own waffles. That was definitely a pleasant surprise.

Bathroom was small and shower didn't have hot water at all. Not even sure if it was lukewarm. The bed was comfortable but was on some sort of metal pedestal and when getting on or off the bed it made noises.

The manager that was on duty and some of the staff were very friendly but there was this one lady who was very rude to my husband.

Not much, it’s convenient.

We had to stuff towels under the door to keep the pot smell out. The cheap carbon monoxide detector went off in the middle of the night because the battery died, and the manager argued with us about everything. Mostly construction workers here. Which is fine, but not what we were looking for

Ok is about the best I can say for this property. The room was clearly a smoking room at some point and smelled of smoke and was musty. The breakfast was a disaster no eggs, two sausages and the employees were hogging the waffle Iron. Why would employees be using the breakfast bar during peak time or anytime that guests are present? On the positive side the front desk people were very pleasant and the room was clean. Be careful of this hotel as they try and pull a fast one and ask for a $100 surprise deposit. This was not written anywhere on the corporate website and seems very suspicious

All of the staff were friendly, polite and personable. The Facility was very clean and well kept. I was surprised at how good the hallway smelled on the way to my room. Comfortable bed. Really enjoyed my much needed peaceful stay at Best Western Gastonia.

That the pool was closed and that I only had one night to enjoy my relaxation.😞
