Wonderful place

I loved the cottage and the location. The nature surrounding it was beautiful. Also the walking trails and bikes were great. I was able to bring my little furbaby and she had so much fun. It was a great experience.

The shower and bathroom was quite small.

We loved it all! The cottage was beautiful, the kitchen had just about everything we needed, and the views were stunning. The staff was so helpful and friendly- they even went out of their way to make sure we got fresh linens and any extra housekeeping we needed without disturbing our pet when we were out to breakfast. Which is another thing we loved- Woodside breakfast was included and we took advantage of it daily. It was delicious and the staff was wonderful. They even have lovely seating outside if you have a dog with you, and brought our guy a bowl of water when he came with us. Sunrise, sunset and fireworks were all amazing to watch over the lake. The beach was a quick drive (or bike ride if you don’t have a lot to haul) away, but even on a busy holiday week we had no problem finding parking at the pavilion.

Hard to say… maybe updated showerheads? I’d have to get THAT picky. I will say if you aren’t super active or have limited mobility, there is not as much to take advantage of in the park (at least during the sweltering summer heat- everything was a good 2 miles + away) but only a few things were not accessible by car. But with the views and the fire pit, I’d be perfectly happy staying put at the cottage anyway.

I loved the decor in the cabin. I loved the bike trails and bike access. I loved the porches.

My room in the cottage had a very loud sound coming from it. I don't know if it was the AC unit, or what, but it was loud.

It was central to everything we wanted to do

A small latch on the outside of the screen door. The dog could stay on the porch without me worrying she could push open the door

I was told Breakfast was included but we ended up having to pay portions on the meal. We were told we could get it to go but we had 5 guest registered and they would only fix 2 to go boxes so 3 of the guest didn't get their meal. The young girl with glasses when she came to work those last days of our trip at Woodside restaurant had very poor customer relations and made us pay portions on our meals and didn't even supply all our guest with meals. I was very disappointed in that. This was our 6th stay there and I'm not sure I'll return after her rudeness. I love being there bit that left a bad taste after that and paying almost $4,000 for the 6 days.
