"Not good."

4.0

It is a good location and good pool and facilities. Spacious with good views.

My room was dirty, there was a layer of dust on table. The bed was supposed to be a single but was actually smaller and un comfoterable. There was no air condoning in the , so difficult to sleep.

"Oozes Old World Character"

8.0

This is a glorious hotel that is full of character and old world elegance. It’s best days may be gone but it is still a charming place to stay in a great location. The sea view was spectacular and the indoor pool very nice. The room was small but comfortable and the staff delightful.

"Great for a seaside break with fab staff"

9.0

Great location - fab sea views and two pools. Staff were all so helpful and a really nice breakfast. Room was a good size. Plus a ‘secret’ passage down to the beach!

Slightly dated and a lots of stairs, corridors etc which adds to the charm but lots of obstacles to navigate. Room didn’t have air con and was a bit warm.

"Lovely old hotel with good facilities."

8.0

Lovely old hotel that would have been very grand in its day, but is still clean and comfortable with good facilities. Swimming pool was lovely to use after a days walking the SW coast path. Breakfast was lovely with excellent views from the dining room across the bay of Paignton. Room was clean and comfortable, but i would say if you can run to it, book a sea view room (we didn't), because we peeped into one and they appear to have been renovated and have the most amazing views across the bay. The only criticism would be that the bed was how I would imagine a mortuary slab to feel, it was rock hard!

"As usual the ambience, location, views, food and friendly staff make us always choose this hotel. The swimming pool, gym"

9.0

The hotel is traditional and welcoming. Free parking is a bonus as is the waterfront location by the beach. The breakfasts and bar meals were good and the staff were friendly and polite.

We have stayed at The Redcliffe regularly in the last couple of years and always ask for the same double room. It suits us because it is large with plenty of space for clothes with a nice bathroom. On this trip there was a heatwave and we did find the room very hot even with the window open continuously. The duvet was a winter weight so we removed it and just slept under the duvet cover. We did mention it to the receptionist, however, they were busy so I don’t think a different room was possible. We were only there for three nights anyway. We will maybe choose a different one next time. Although it isn’t usually such a hot time of year when we visit.

"Amazing location, fantastic facilities, amazing value for money"

10.0

The facilities exceeded our expectations, the staff were very polite and helpful, fantastic location, spacious comfortable room. The location of the hotel was a stone’s throw from the centre of Paignton, and just a 15 minute drive from Torquay.

The jacuzzi was available but was not working properly.
