Location excellent, staff very helpful polite and friendly.

Room was dark and in need of and upgrade bar area could be improved with a little more housekeeping, breakfast was great on first day but poor on second day.

Staff and food excellent.

No public lift - although I found a disabled lift at the back of the hotel. No parking.

Really needing updating to complete with other establishments. Staff should be dressed to suit the hotel, for example, not meeting and greeting wearing a bobble hat??

Room, internet and breakfast were all good. Staff seemed friendly on the whole

Access to room was confusing and lots of stairs, and not their fault, but road works outside meant difficulty in access

Location, central. Staff did their best. Evening meal was good quality

I stayed for two nights; my wife, myself and small dog. The staff were lovely, in particular Roberto and Cody. unfortunately there were a number of issues: parking was horrendous with difficulty loading and unloading. Whilst the evening meals were good, breakfast arrangements did not go well. Food and drinks often ran out and items were missed. Much of the problems, including check in at the bar, seemed down to insufficient staff numbers. The people I mentioned above were run off their poor feet. Our room was barely adequate, hard to reach at the top of steep flights of steps, and the decor was in need of a 'refresh', for £215 for two nights it was disappointing. I felt sure breakfast would be included in that price, and parking vouchers be available.

We did not stay and are currently waiting for a full refund from booking.com
