Golden Fleece York

York is a beautiful place we love it. Golden Fleece is a great place. Beautiful rooms the bed was comfy but woke up with bad back.

I think the Golden Fleece is over priced. I paid extra for breakfast it wasn't that good really. Disappointed no ghostly activities lol 😒 No TV signal so couldn't relax at the end of the day.

The property is 500 years old and very quaint

Large flat with bedroom , bathroom and lounge with views over The Shambles . Couldnt be a better location in York . Very spooky , free breakfasts .

Traffic noise being in the city centre but triple glazing stops that.

This accommodation is central to everything and it has a great atmosphere. It's a very busy tourist attraction with all its ghost stories . The bar area was always full and the food looked good. The staff were friendly and the room was cozy and comfortable.

We stayed over night and it was a little noisy with the bar/singers downstairs but it was to be expected.

Great pub with a fantastic atmosphere and decent ale! We stayed in the shambles room and had some odd experiences. I could hear someone walking up to the bedroom door from the bathroom. I thought it was the maid so opened the door to say we were nearly finished but there was no one there. The old floors make a very distinctive creaky noise when stepped on. Bedroom and bathroom were beautiful with lots of character and a great view of the shambles from the window. Just don't hang around in the hallway!

There wasn't anything

Very friendly staff and very quirky hotel. Bedrooms lovely and clean with everything needed to make a comfortable stay. We only had breakfast but was lovely.

Obviously not for everyone but a fun different place if you’re not too scared! Although I did have a good nights sleep and vibes felt Good. Downstairs could do with a bit of an overhaul. First impressions looked a bit scruffy, however upstairs was very clean
