Our car parking is extremely small, so only Hatchbacks and Small Sedans will be accommodated. SUVs, UTEs, vans, and any larger vehicles will not be accommodated due to size restrictions. The reception team can assist you with alternative parking sites near the hotel. All credit cards, international debit cards, and PayWave will incur a 2% surcharge. New Zealand EFTPOS cards or cash do not incur any surcharge. Due to health & safety reasons and emergency protocols, we do not allow any rooms with more than 4 guests at a time, including visitors. "Would definitely book again same time every year!"

We liked the balcony view and the seating area. We liked the whole room and would stay again! We liked how there were safety protocols put into place, example needing key cards to get up the elevators to our rooms and having security on the weekends. We liked how kind the staff at reception were during our stay and that they weren’t scary to approach with any issues or questions that we had.

At first it was that the microwave didn’t work otherwise we had asked the guy at the front desk about that around 2am and he’d automatically had someone come fix it the next day when maintenance services arrived to come up to our room and fix that for us. Overall enjoyed the stay!

"The Oaks is one of my top places to stay for location, value for money and quality."

The location was perfect for my working weekend, the room was clean and comfortable and the staff are always helpful and friendly. I also appreciate the addition of a night security guard as that part of Courtney Place feels increasingly dangerous.

I was woken up at 3am one morning to loud male voices running around the 7th floor swearing and shouting. Also I unfortunately found it quite unnecessary being approached and questioned by the security when my friends and I popped in to drop some things off in my room before heading back out.
