The door knob was insecure. The shower did not get more than tepid. Breakfast included in the price but not available until 9.30.

Google maps points to the wrong location. Lock on the door a bit fiddly.

Waited an hour for food (two adult meals and two children meals), to be told it was another half hour wait. Gave up and went elsewhere as we had hungry children. Pub wasn’t busy so no excuse for a long wait! Wouldn’t recommend

Matratzen sind nicht so bequem, das war sehr eng aber ausreichend, liegt direkt an einer Hauptverkehrsstrasse.

We really appreciated being able to lock up our bikes inside the function room. And the man who checked us in was super friendly.

Having been charged twice for the same two nights last December and waited nearly six months for £113 to be repaid to my bank account, which the management promised to attend to before we had left, I made a direct complaint to Marston's head office which, after nearly six months of waiting, brought about an immediate response. It was the hotel manager who first pointed the mistake out to me, but then once we had left, he did nothing about. I am now pleased to be able to report that not only did Marstons repay the £113, a full apology followed, together with an ex-gratia payment of £60 in compensation, which certainly retains one's interest in Marston's outlets nationwide, but not in The Savoy Country Inn. It really was 'Soulless', and looking back, it would seem that those in charge were there in mind, but not in body.
