Excellent food, brilliant staff, super helpful and service was friendly and efficient. Saw that they do lots of live music too so will definitely be back for one of those evenings. 40% off some lagers between 8-10pm on Saturday evening too!

Lokalita je pecka kousek od hlavni silnice, vsude cisto a prijemny personal. Jen schodiste nahoru k pokoji dost vrze a je tak hodne slyset kazdeho navstevnika, ale da se zvyknout. Prosim hledejte peclive cas snidane je od 9:30h ja jsem tento cas nenasel a musel jsem vyrazit v 8h takze mi snidane propadle. Jinak vse perfektni doporucuji napriklad na cesty smer Irsko.

Excellent breakfast. However only one member of staff on duty, there were 9 couples being served. The staff member dealt with everyone promptly but it was too much.for one person I felt The room was very clean with pure white bedding and large towels.

The bathroom was tiny. With just enough room to get and out of the shower. Not even room to put a toothbrush. The noise from the busy road kept us awake all night.

Such a great experience. Staff were super friendly and attentive and the food was amazing! We had the chicken sharing platter between us and it was piping hot and plentiful. Really impressed with Harry the chef who even checked to see if we enjoyed the food.

We stayed in our Motorhome at the rear of the Savoy. Nick and his team were very friendly and welcoming.Food was great (Pie night 😁) and beer was lovely. Alice provided a lovely warm service with our meals. They allowed us to use their toilets at night as well. Thank you for allowing us to stay.

I have read the many five star accounts of this hotel and I began to wonder if we had stayed at the same hotel ? By name and post code - Yes, we had, on the 21st and 22nd of December prior to our usual pre-Christmas stay at The New Gower in Bishopston. We arrived mid afternoon, to be told by the manager that I had I had paid twice for the two night stop. That was not strictly true. I had paid when I first booked on October 6th in full but, two days before we arrived, my account had been debited a second time without my authority. He, and his misses were going to sort it out - I thought before we left two days later, but no, there was nothing that could be done without head office approval. I had to wait, and now, over a month later, I am still waiting the return of some £113 which Mr & Mrs had known about, since it was they who first informed me of the mistake. Overall, it does not surprise me because I was offered a round f drinks on the house as an apology - But they also proved to be empty words. There were only about five lads playing darts and a couple having a meal in the place - Absolutely no Christmas spirit, so we went off to St. Clears and found The Corvus House, which was a lovely friendly pub, full of the season's good will AND they had Bass on draft, of which I enjoyed three pints - and only £4.20 a pint ! They say it is easier to lose customers than it is to find them. Well, I like to talk places up, as the catering trade has had a torrid time since the pandemic and this government has made it even more difficult for them. On the other side of the coin, publicans have got to make the effort to see their pubs are run properly, and if there is no custom four days before Christmas, when is there going to be ? The fact that I am still out of pocket, the offer of a drink for myself and my wife was forgotten as soon as the sentence left his lips, shows the finger is not on the pulse. It could be such a nice venue, and to others, it must have been - Which is why I doubted what I was reading. However, facts are facts and, one can only report on personal experience. Any Free House would have to be run on more professional lines, or they would go out of business.
