Everything was perfect

First of all, loved how the staff at Gelih Bungalows were so friendly and ready to help! They were always there when we needed something, which really made the stay easier. Upon arriving, we liked how peaceful and laid-back the place felt, simple, but it has a certain charm. The pool was a nice bonus, and the location was spot on! Just a short ride to the beach and close to shops. (Don't skip the Secret Penida restau which happens to be 5mins walk only!) Cleanliness? Hmm, I’d say mixed. Some parts were okay, but it could be improved, towels felt worn out, and mosquitoes so bring on your off lotion. For the price though, you get decent value and a comfy bed to rest on before exploring Nusa Penida.

Didn’t like? Probably the mosquitoes and how hard it is to manage locking doors.

The pool and rooms were lovely presented, very clean and tidy

The reception wasn’t ready for my arrival so I dropped my bag and came back an hour later, no big deal but could be better. The fridge was empty of cold drinks for sale and no water supplied.. breakfast didn’t open till 8 and as a diver the boat always leaves at 8 so divers don’t get breakfast

The room and bathroom are spacious and clean with a well working aircon. The hosts were super welcoming and helpful and even provided water, tea and coffee, which was super convenient. They helped me organize moped rental and laundry services. The pool was also definitely a highlight.

Could do with more storage options for clothes etc. and especially a shower shelf. We did also get a couple of mosquitoes flying around our room, however, could just be our error.

it’s hard to write this review as I’m sure they were trying their best. however this is very basic. photos not current. this place is a bit grubby. for the low cost, I guess a bed is a bed but there are better options out there for the same value. service here is non existent, and wasn’t even spare toilet paper. pool is very warm, more of a bath.
