Carpenters Cottages

The cottage was large enough for comfort, and having one bathroom per bedroom was great. It was clean, warm and comfortable.

Unfortunately we could not pick up any wifi signal or tv whilst at the cottage. However, there was a good selection of DVDs to watch. There were no toiletries provided as stated by Booking.com. It would have been nice to have had coffee/tea/sugar available...it seemed that there had been at one time, but they had run out.

Well provisioned, clean & warm. Nice dining table.

Microwave was not working & apparently the landlady had known about that for a week. Seating inadequate for relaxation. Sofa very uncomfortable & not suitable for 3 people. The place needs another armchair & a much better sofa. Was misleading to say both bedrooms have en-suite. The double bed room has bath en-suite. The singles bed room has access to another shower room. Our “flat” was up external metal stairs. Bear in mind if you have problems with stairs.

Warm welcome from attentive hosts, good food at the Carpenter`s Arms. Comfortable beds.

Dishwasher not working, showers too hot to use and heating difficult to regulate.
