Carpenters Cottages

The cottage was in a beautiful rural area, surrounded by fields and only a short drive to Monmouth. The facilities were great?, although the WiFi didn't reach to the bedrooms which was a shame as I couldn't play music. The cleaning wasn't 100% but it was decent enough! The pub next door could not be faulted, the owners are lovely and the food was out of this world!

You could hear every footstep from the apartment above which was annoying late st night when trying to sleep. Also the blinds could be better to block out light

The Location was in the Middle of our travel routes, ideal for family and towns

Need to get shower areas fully tested and cleaned, the owners have taken it back after sub letting the business, so the property will return to it's previous condition.

Lovely cottage in a nice quiet location. Well equipped and clean. Beds were nice and plenty of space.

The location was good though very near the main road. Spacious accommodation, quite comfortable. Clean and tidy, towels and bed linen were fresh, owners pleasant and helpful. It was an ideal base for what we wanted, lots of walks nearby, so we were out most of the time. Pub served good food at reasonable prices, pleasant place to spend an evening.

The fridge was temperamental, depending on which shelf food was put depended on if it randomly froze or not {there was a seperate freezer}. The garden area at the back of the cottages was a bit neglected and there wasn't any decent furniture to sit out on anyway. it was a bit noisy at times but there was some maintenance/decorating going on and it didn't impact on us too much.

Attitude of the owner, nail clippings in the lounge, fluff and dust under beds, no instruction for television use, scruffy garden, parking often filled with non residents

Clean and comfortable, and next door to the pub!

Parking was a bit awkward when the pub was busy.
