Mooreland Garden Inn

Exceded my expectations. A lovely b&b within walking distance to the main street historic district. Abounds with history and good eateries. The inn hosts were exceptional.

It is always a treat to stay at Mooreland Garden Inn when we travel to Central Pennsylvania. Dawn is an excellent host, and her home in the historic area of Carlisle is a beautiful tribute to the Flower family. The rooms are comfortable and lovely, with all amenities you'll need; the guest area downstairs features home-baked goodies as well as coffee, cold drinks and packaged snacks. Dawn can accommodate any dietary restrictions, just let her know. Relaxing porch, beautiful view of well-tended gardens, close to local restaurants and an excellent walking neighborhood.

Always our favorite place to stay during the car show and parade downtown. Feels like we are spending time with friends.

We enjoyed our stay, everything was comfortable and very clean. Breakfast was incredible! We’ve stayed at many B&Bs and have never had a breakfast like Mooreland Garden Inn. We walked to a restaurant for dinner in historic Carlisle.

Our stay at Mooreland Garden Inn was fantastic. We surprised our host after having to relocate from another facility. She was so accommodating and welcoming. The room and amenities were perfect for us. The breakfasts each morning were outstanding. We couldn't have been more pleased. We look forward to staying here anytime we visit Carlisle!

This is the best place to stay in Carlisle! I will be going back. The breakfast is so wonderful ever morning.

I am so glad I found this gem of a place. It's conveniently located close to campus. The accommodations were exactly as described. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was very clea . The robes were an unexpected and nice touch. What we enjoyed the most was feeling welcome by Dawn and Bruce. They were always willing to answer any questions and provide suggestions about the local area. They absolutely know how to host.

Me and my mom had a wonderful stay at this lovely place! The breakfasts were amazing, especially the vanilla almond granola, the variety of fruits we had, and Bruce’s French toast! Dawn and Bruce were incredibly kind and made me feel right at home. The room was comfortable, and the Wi-Fi was excellent. There were also beautiful flowers planted around the house which was really pleasant to look at . I highly recommend this spot for anyone seeking a cozy place to stay at with outstanding food and service!

This is a slice of heaven in Carlisle and our fourth year in a row staying at the Mooreland Inn while attending Dickinson College Alumni Weekend. Beautiful and lovely in every way and delicious breakfasts.

Shh. I don't really want to write this review because the word will get out. But if you're ever in Carlisle, stay here (if you can find an available room). Dawn and Bruce truly provide a home-away-from-home experience. Their house is comfortable from the impeccably clean rooms to the common areas. Sit on their front porch in the summer surrounded by fresh flowers. What puts it over the top is that the hosts prepare an indulgent daily breakfast with some ingredients that come straight from their garden. Definitely not to be missed.
