Canada Lodge and Lake

You were so kind and understanding when i asked for early check in on Tuesday. What you didnt know, was my back had my health were in trouble, i needed to lay down and rest before a concert. You appeared to take one look at my stressed out face and you were amazing, ko questions asked. Room was beautiful, food was.fantastic and the grounds were incredible. Many thanks.

TV reception was very poor

Stayed in cabin 3, and despite reading some recent negative reviews, we were very happy with the room. It was clean, well stocked and the view over the lake in the morning was amazing. Breakfast was very nice and had lots of variety. Our only small gripe was the beds weren’t particularly comfortable. Mattresses are subjective and we were only there 1 night. Would definitely recommend and will be looking to stay there again. It’s also only 25 minutes from Cardiff centre.

Such a lovely place to stay so peaceful just over 6 miles from Cardiff . The lodge was right beside the lake and was spotless .Breakfast was really good ! Only stayed one night but didn't want to leave 😕 hopefully we will be back.

Beautiful views, comfortable bed and room, very clean, beautiful hot tub, looks just like photos

The room was a little complicated to adjust the heating, the room was boiling and we couldn't find the aircon besides one fan on ceiling

When we arrived there was some sort of panic like we weren't expected. We were half an hour before the official check in time,a lady came out from reception,spoke to another lady having a cigarette outside who then got on her phone to cleaning staff and said"they've arrived already! Put the camp bed away and get it cleaned". We went for a coffee until the check in time and went to the cabin which for £220 per night is ridiculously basic. Underfloor heating advertised,not working, 40 inch TV advertised,24 inch provided, plates and mini fridge provided,nowhere to wash them after,unless you count the sink next to the toilet . Cobwebs everywhere,sticky floors, grubby table,rusty fittings, outdoor furniture covered in bird poo, unfinished building work was the view from the bedroom,traffic noise. We had looked at llanerch vineyard to stay in but chose this for a change. What a terrible mistake.
