Breakfast only available from 8:30 so had to leave before it was open!!

Bed was possibly the worst I have slept on in a long time

The venue is primarily a wedding venue. Consequently very limited breakfast time, so we missed it the first day as we had an appointment. No dining facilities the day we were there. Otherwise a nice setting but very isolated if you are not attending a function.

Nice and relaxed lovely venue / location, Rodri cafe was excellent, no information in lodge about anything ,no WiFi also. mattress dipped in the middle. Would visit and stay again it was.so peaceful.

Absolutely stunning. The view of the lake. Peaceful & calming even in the colder months.

Our bath tub in room 6 had dirty soap ring left in from previous occupancy. Had lights set up on trees & lake but Not switched on in the dark. Lake and trees would have looked beautiful switched on at night. Breakfast at rhodri’s cafe was amazing but we was like squashed sardines. 7 small tables in a line in middle of room no gaps bit awkward when sitting elbow to elbow with a stranger.

Breakfast was excellent. Location was idealic, rural, quiet and fantastic view of the lake. Room was modern, clean and well equiped with a high standard of fixtures. The staff were friendly and professional. A superb stay despite the ominus beginning.

Despite mentioning on booking that we might be a little late checking in, the hotel appeared closed when we arrived at about 5.30/6.00 pm ! Dark and deserted ! Signage was poor and we drove around the site before finally finding the closed reception building with an out of hours phone number on the door. Ten or fifteen minutes later a member of staff arrived to check us in, apparantly unaware of our booking. An awful start to what thankfully turned into a superb stay.

We were surprised to find that our room was even better than it looked in the website photos! Usually it's the opposite! Beautiful restaurant overlooking the lake with great, freshly prepared food. We really enjoyed our stay.

The space and comfort. The facilities were brilliant.

None of the numbers work when you try to call for help. I needed a hairdryer and couldn’t get through to anyone. We wanted to go for a drink together in Rhodri’s, but again couldn’t get through. The curtains were operated by a button which didn’t work. The back door lock didn’t work so my partners anxiety kicked in as we didn’t feel secure.

No lighting by car park for wayfinding, telly broke during the stay and nobody there to open up for breakfast between 08:30-10 and we got there 09:10
