Nice clean room

Really great location, convenient to everything. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Room was a bit dated (bathroom window wouldn’t close) but the bed was very comfortable. I was there right after Road Race weekend so I assume housekeeping had a lot to handle and maybe had an off day - Dirty towel was left hanging behind the door, large cobwebby dust thing in the bathroom, coffee maker was filled to the brim with water so I was not comfortable using it not knowing how long it had been in that condition, etc. I’m a repeat visitor, but do think it is a bit expensive for a less than completely clean room. (Note I didn’t address anything with the front desk as I was in town for a celebration of life and didn’t have time. I’m sure they would have helped)

Unfortunately this hotel is not being maintained and is poorly run. Although I had repeatedly checked on our reservations in advance to make sure they slotted our two rooms close together, one of the rooms was not even ready until 6pm or so and it was located at the opposite end of the hotel from our room. Management was unable to do anything about it claiming they were "full" the next night which made no sense whatsoever. The thermostat was hanging off the wall with wires exposed. The door to our room was very difficult to open and close due to improper carpet installation where the door should have been shortened to accommodate that but was not. Some of the curtains, as another reviewer stated, were either sewn shut or hooked together at the top so they could not be opened. The fire alarm went off at 1AM with no explanation from management whatsoever, and the night before the race which one my sons was running. It was just a miserable experience. While we have stayed there 3 times now, I would not stay there again. There are better options available.

Great location in a very quaint town. Good size rooms with a fridge and microwave.

Housekeeping was very disappointing as only happened once during our stay of 3 nights. Had to chase for fresh towels etc. The pillows are awful and really uncomfortable nights sleep!

Good location. Had all amenities needed. Clean

It was everything that we wanted for our short stay. Most importantly it was walking distance from the Oak Bluff Ferry Bus parking so very convenient.

Not cleaned well. Only I bottle of water despite “amenities fee”. Bugs in the room. Grim.

The cleaning. No light near the car park so I tripped and bruised a rib.
