The check-in clerk gave us a bunch of excuses why we had to go to the second floor finally when threatened that we wanted to leave, moved us to the first floor. To carry our suitcases up to the second floor without an elevator would’ve been a hardship.

cleaning staff needs to do a better job on trim, window sills etc - there was a lot of caked up dust. unpleasant odor in the hall way although the room was fine

This inn is in a great area in Falmouth. Easy to walk to downtown for meals, drive to Queens Ferry to Martha’s Vineyard. Double queen bed room was adequate and the bathroom was spacious. Only concern was after one shower, tub completely clogged and we were transferred to another room. The inn and staff was pleasant, housekeeping may have been understaffed, as one could tell vacuuming was needed. The restaurant on site, Percy’s Place was nice but is not open for dinner in case you do want to leave the inn. As other reviews have noted, their pool area doesn’t look the same as their picture- the wood tones are painted over in all white, taking away from the warm, relaxing feel we were looking for. All in all, a nice stay.

The Inn on the Square is in a great location! It’s right next to the Shining Sea bike trail and near downtown Falmouth. Woods Hole, beaches and coastal views are a short drive/bike ride. Our room was comfortable and pleasantly furnished. It has a microwave and fridge in the room. My only complaint was that the only coffee they give guests is from the mini in room coffee maker. It wasn’t very good coffee. Otherwise there is a restaurant on site where you can buy breakfast. I would definitely stay there again.

During my stay, I was shocked to discover significant mold growth at the bottom of the curtains. This wasn't just a small spot; the mold was extensive and a clear health hazard. Immediately upon discovery, we notified the hotel staff. They offered NO SOLUTION, and the manager did not take the time to even speak with us or apologize. This is a major health concern, and I was very disappointed to find such conditions in a "boutique hotel" property. I strongly urge the hotel management to thoroughly inspect and clean all rooms to prevent this serious issue from affecting other guests. A clean and safe environment should be a given, and in this case, the hotel failed significantly.
