Alice Motor Inn

There was nothing to like about the property. Most lights did not work. All power points were cracked and damaged in one way or another and certainly did not appear safe. The motel is just generally run down.

Room was clean and fresh and walking distance to the Mall. Amenities very basic. Security gates weren't working until our last day and we got locked out, no code to open gates and no number to contact. Lucky a guest saw us and had a code. We weren't advised about code by reception.

While our room was quite spacious and quiet that was the end of positive attributes. The floor moved as we walked and the carpet was very shabby and stained. The bathroom was very ancient and battle scared beyond belief. There were cracks in the wall and a lot of evidence of flies being in the room over the years. This room was a shocker, the worst I've ever stayed in, and I'm not young. If I'd paid a low price to stay there then I'd accept that I got what I paid for but this was not the case. The hotel is being renovated but they certainly should not be renting this room out!

We had a great stay at Alice Motor Inn. The staff were friendly and helpful! My only comment about what could be improved was the parking situation. Other guests could be encouraged to park so there is enough room for everyone, instead of taking up two or three potential parking spots which forced us onto the road.
