The Inn on Maritime Bay, an Ascend Collection Hotel

I was really happy with this hotel! The bed and pillows were really comfortable - lots of full size pillows lol! Nice waterfront location on the marina, walking paths & a couple restaurants within a few minutes. Since it was summer I went to the beautiful local beaches & did not use the pool or hot tub. I did skip the continental breakfast & opted for the brunch place one block away. Parking was great. They could clean up the exterior doorways as there are a lot of spiderwebs on the outside in the summer - like lots! Overall, really enjoyed my stay!

This place was super nice. When we stayed, midweek, the place was nearly empty. I don’t know why this place isn’t fully booked all the time. Great price, great location! We really enjoyed our stay. I would have liked more breakfast choices but we were satisfied. They graciously allowed an early check-in. My son enjoyed the pool, which was very nice. I’d stay there again!

It was clean and convenient. The kids enjoyed the pool. The only thing I thought was odd is the towels and bedding all felt damp to me. The room wasn’t humid. There wasn’t a damp musty smell… I can’t explain it, maybe it’s just the way the fabric feels. It wouldn’t keep me from staying again.

The location

Staff, very dirt, expensive for the quality of room we received. Paid for a room with a view of the lake and got a room with a view of the pool roof and the air handling unit on the roof. Was told they gave the room I paid extra for away to another guest because they paid the hotel and not booking.com like I did. Then on top of it all they said they needed a credit card for security and charged me for the same price I paid for my room already. So I was double charged. Booking.com made it right over a month after our stay.

Clean room and helpful, patient staff. Very handy if you're getting on the USS Badger ferry. There are no fast food places nearby so it would be nice if they served breakfast, for those who are not into sit-down places so early in the morning.
