Vinland Hotel and Lounge

Took a 2 day trip to Solvang with my whole family and dog. Had a great stay. The rooms were clean and spacious. The hotel itself was small, easy to navigate, and in a great location right at the edge of town. We enjoyed not being in the middle of town so we could avoid some of the larger crowds closer to our hotel. I was so happy to find a place where our dog could stay with us! He enjoyed himself too. Check in and checkout were smooth, no issues for us. Loved our stay and would be more than happy to stay again in the future. These are the only things I’d note as small hiccups: 1) Our room smelled a bit, like a faint mildew scent. It wasn’t pungent enough that we brought it up to staff but we did choose to buy a car scent to leave open over our 3 night stay to help and would occasionally air it out. There had been a massive rainstorm before we stayed so gave them some grace over it. 2) Rooms all have ac/heat which worked great to warm up our rooms. Only caveat was that it’s a bit loud haha. So at night it could possibly wake you up when it turns on which it did for many in our group. So we often we choose to turn it off for a while to sleep better. But I will admit I’ve yet to come across many quiet hotel ac systems. If you’re a light sleeper, bring some ear plugs. But despite those 2 challenges, we still enjoyed our stay very much and all said we’d be more than happy to stay again. Thanks for a great time at Solvang Vinland!

Dirty, loud, bad food, underwhelming. Nice staff, though, and we were glad it was pet friendly. The bathroom in particular was NOT clean when we arrived.

Excellent location. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful.

It is in a great walking distance to shops, restaurants etc...

Our room was close to the exit door and service staff laundry room and it was noisy and loud. Too early and too loud for a Sunday morning.

Only the location is good.

Room not clean/room smelled very bad Screen door broken -no response or fix from team Room sliding door faces trash cans area with open door exposing trash and rodents to our room and odor was horrible Pool area reeked of chlorine No parking requiring us to find street parking I paid $435 for this-shameful Expect a refund!

Nice staff, decent location for access to the main town( other than units that faced a main road), comfortable room, hi-end toiletries presented.

We originally had a room that faced a very busy intersection, however the staff was kind enough to relocate my Family to another room
