Historic Santa Maria Inn

Love the fact that there is a bar where you can get a nightcap without leaving, and appetizers too. Like the historical value and apperance. The rooms are a nice size. The hotel has a warmth about it.

Seems to often have sirens going past, but you can't help that.

I liked the classic timeless look that actually deep history which added to the charm

I like the onsite facilities: restaurant, bar, etc.

Smelled like smoke.

Mold on the windows.

The room was spacious and the pool area was big.

The gym machines were not very clean and some were broken.

Built in 1917, this hotel has very nice architecture and details in the construction. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, it definitely needs an update to 2026. There are very few electrical outlets in the room. One in the bathroom, one under the bed, one for refrigerator/ microwave / coffee maker and one for the TV. None near a desk or table to charge a tablet or phone. The cleaning service is not daily. We had to request new towels and coffee packets. They have free internet which seemed to be a bit spotty. It worked fine for the phones but not for some other devices. There is no coffee shop, so you have to go across the street to a nice restaurant called The Pantry. The breakfast buffet that they advertise is on weekends only Saturday and Sunday starting at 9am. The walls are paper thin and you can hear everything around you - TV, conversations, etc. They do have a bar and restaurant. The restaurant is open only for lunch and dinner. Consider your needs before booking.

Downtown location, large rooms, good value for money.

We had room facing major street and it was loud at night. There is a restaurant on the property but they don’t serve breakfast.
