InterContinental Koh Samui Resort, an IHG Hotel

Thank you for taking such good care of us during our two-day, one-night stay. This is truly another excellent hotel that I would highly recommend. The location is stunning, offering beautiful sea views and breathtaking sunsets. The rooms are luxurious, and I understand that a major renovation will be taking place soon, which I look forward to seeing. A special thank you to "Khun Lisa" for her outstanding hospitality throughout our stay—from check-in and check-out to serving food and beverages, as well as for the warm and friendly conversations we shared. I would also like to thank the evening team for their hard work and cheerful service. It was a pleasure chatting with Khun Pim, Khun Som-O, and Khun Dew, who made our stay even more enjoyable. I look forward to visiting again after the renovation is completed.

Celebrated our wedding anniversary here and I would like to say i am very pleased of the team that set up the anniversary gift bracelets and the decorations in the room. It was beyond expectation :)

- Spectacular view of the endless sea and its horizon by the bar, the lounge, the Amber restaurant and 6 (six) swimming pools. A great time to be mesmerized... relax and reflect wherever you may be from the hotel. - Amazing section of nature where you walk up or walk down 165 steps to the poolside or beach or the lobby as a form of exercise or simply view the sea from a different perspective... besides hailing a Buggy. - The beach is good for bare-foot walking and the nearby pier is inviting, with many clicking for social images. Nearby is a well-equipped Gym overlooking the sea, and if weather permits - the glorious sun set for your keeps. - Breakfast was delightful with Thai cuisine included. Its dinning menu is beautifully curated for Lunch and Dinner. The sea will inspire your taste buds. - Most staff was attentive to service and details... although the waiters always mixed up with "paid" water and water you don't need to pay, probably due to language. :)) - A scheduled "fire show" in the evening by the beach was very entertaining. However when it ended, some guests immediately walked away without donating in their box. They were very professional in their dance movement and curatorship. It was a dangerous act. - Finally, the free transportation to several places of interest make every guest happy with their scheduled pick-up time. It's an excellent experience in our 5-day stay in the ocean view room with club access. Everything begins with the warm welcome from Marky! We are impressed with the smile and pamper from all the staff in the Club, Front desk, Amber, Buggy journey, Fitness Centre and the Pool Bar. The room was well maintained with gorgeous seaview. The cloudy weather hid the sunset but the clouds and rains usually came in the afternoon. We thank everyone from team Club for their swift response and protection during sudden heavy rainstorms. The cuisine in Amber was spectacular! We dined in there every morning and 4 out of 5 nights and were still surprised. Flames provided great delicacy too. The humble and warm hospitality from Amber contributed a significant part of our wonderful relaxing journey in the resort.

The view when you arrive is simply breathtaking and it doesn’t end there, every view is spectacular. We stayed in an ocean view room with club lounge access. The room was beautiful, clean and well maintained - the only down side was the AC is very loud even on the lowest setting. Housekeeping was spot on and it was great to be able to request a specific time for our room clean. The club lounge is a separate area of the foyer and the best place to watch the sunset each night. Afternoon tea and evening canapés were great and service was always extra attentive. Breakfast was a bit hit and miss, dishes that were freshly cooked were good but most of the other ‘hot’ dishes were on the cold side. The omelette and noodle soup were fantastic though! The spa facilities are some of the prettiest we have visited and the massages were nice. The resort facilities, numerous pools and service were top notch and we will be back next time we are in Koh Samui.

Les chambres donnent plein soleil et impossible y être à cause de la chaleur. Il manquerait plus de végétation à la plage, sur le long des transats pour donner un peu plus l'ombre et de sensation de fraîcheur. Le bâtiment principal et ses chambres commences à vieillir. Trop de béton. Des éléments naturels manquent.

Can not fault our stay from staff to facilities and service

If you are looking for a peaceful, beautiful, friendly resort to relax and enjoy the beauty of the Thai mountains and beaches then this is the resort to be in. Do not stay here if you intend to party. Being a little set off from the more developed and commercial areas of Samui like Chaweng and Lamai this is a place to unwind. We visited with our children and stayed in the family villa. The rooms, the villa, the ambience, the location and the service was fabulous. Morning and Evenings on the villa balcony enjoying the view and the breeze. My only complaint would be that after this the resort in the 2nd half of our trip would feel like a let down. On a serious note the only point of improvement would be the relatively few vegetarian options in the breakfast menu. One special note - the dried local fruits that were put in the room were outstanding. Just one of the small touches that made the entire stay wonderful.
