Hyatt Place Fort Lauderdale Cruise Port & Convention Center - Newly Renovated

The stay was disappointing due to excessive noise early in the morning and late at night, which made it difficult to rest. I also noticed mold on the bathroom curtains and reported the issue, but nothing was done to address it during my stay. Overall, the lack of follow-up and the cleanliness concern made the experience uncomfortable.

Close to cruise terminal with airport/ cruise shuttle. Need to ring hotel prior to book shuttle. Able to purchase drinks from bar and take to pool, lots of pool chairs shade and open

The room was specifically the bed was stained with piss, stains and rips. The staff were not pleasant as of I did something wrong.

To Whom It May Concern, I wanted to share feedback regarding my recent stay at Hyatt Place Fort Lauderdale Cruise Port & Convention Center. This was my first experience with your property, and unfortunately, it will also be my last. In hindsight, I wish I had chosen my original preference—the Embassy Suites. Their layout is much more spacious and inviting, and I’ve always appreciated not feeling crowded at the front desk. Embassy Suites also offers a more enjoyable breakfast and a pool area that feels like a resort getaway. When I arrived at the Hyatt at 9:20am, I expected there wouldn’t be a room ready yet, so I decided to spend some time by the pool. Around 1pm, I checked back at the front desk, which felt quite unorganized, to ask if a room was available. Rose kindly assisted and assigned me room #214. After heading out for dinner at 3pm, I returned at 6pm hoping to relax and unwind. Unfortunately, starting at 8pm, an unexpected noise disrupted my evening. At first, I thought it was the air conditioner, but after turning it off and still hearing the noise, I discovered it was actually coming from the mini fridge’s compressor. I called the front desk and left a message about the issue, but didn’t receive a response. The next morning, I spoke with Omar, who seemed unable to answer my questions and indicated that the manager would contact me after arriving at 8am. I never received that call, so I got dressed and spoke to Rose at the front desk, asking if there was any way to be compensated, especially since I didn’t get any sleep. She explained that since I booked through a third party, she would see if Expedia could assist, and she provided me with an airport shuttle voucher. Unfortunately, when it came time to use the shuttle, the driver was extremely rude and indicated that he needed to take a group to the Metra train instead of the airport. When I asked about the airport shuttle, he dismissed me with a wave of his hand. I returned to the front desk to speak with Omar, but he appeared to deliberately avoid me by pretending to be busy on the phone. Thankfully, a fellow guest kindly offered to share their Uber to the airport, and Rose did come out to apologize for the shuttle situation. Overall, my first experience with Hyatt was deeply disappointing and left a bad impression. I’m planning a group trip in December and will be choosing Embassy Suites instead. I hope you’ll take my feedback into consideration, as I believe there is much room for improvement in both service and hospitality.

Nice breakfast variety. Near amenities- stores if needing extra/ forgotten items

Transportation pricing was all over the place- not accurate according to the price listed on website or even when speaking to driver. Quoted one price and 10 minutes later charged a different price when picked up.

Everything was great. Pre cruise accommodations.
