Baymont by Wyndham Springfield IL

The website for this hotel were very misleading.

Very dirty, smelly. The list of problems goes on.

The people were nice. The price was good. Landscape was very poor and trash about. Needs remodel. Room was clean.

Very bad experience at the Baymont in Springfield. Flickering Light in hallway outside my room, no tissues, ugly exposed cables and wires to TV, curtains couldn't' be closed, curtains when brought into the middle completely draped in front of the air conditioner, vanity sink had no plug and sewer smell was there when running water, shower curtain left 6 inch gap from wall resulting in water on the floor, TV remote would not turn on/off TV. No lights on sign at entrance from street. More to add, but tired of complaining.

The bed was comfortable. Facility was ragged. Grounds dirty. One working ice machine on 3rd floor. None snack/drink machines worked. Asked for change for twenty. Front desk had none. No ice buckets, shower dirty

It is dark around the building.

It seem the new owners are brand new to this business. Needs a lot of renovation. Needs better housekeeping practice

The first room we had the toilet was broken. Second room the shower curtain rod was slanted down, the curtain slid to the center which allowed water on the floor. Remote to tv didn’t work. Lots of wires showing. Only flavored creamer for coffee. The property was over grown with weeds & trash.

The parking lot was badly cracked, and weeds flourished. Construction (or deconstruction) debris was piled outside. The entry was dirty and cigarette butts were scattered about. Inside, the building smelled musty. The walls and carpets looked very dirty. Carpets were worn and torn. The stairwell looked like it had not been cleaned in months. The toilet ran continually. The ceiling was cracked and peeling. The bathroom was stocked with one damp, dirty-looking bathtowel. The staff's version of English was unintelligible. During breakfast hours there was one mini muffin and half a dozen slices of white bread, along with a basket of apples. Coffee was dripping into a plastic pitcher. We cancelled our second night and won't consider staying there again.
