Baymont by Wyndham Springfield IL

I would never stay here again!!! The hotel looked terrible inside. The only reason why I was staying overnight in Springfield was that we went to the Illinois State Fair and stayed for the Keith Urban concert. We didn't check in until 1am, so we just slept there. I have no idea about their breakfast, because I wouldn't even go there after seeing the room. The bathroom had one bath towel and one roll of toilet paper. The sheets were ripped at the bottom of the bed. The television remote didn't work so I went to the television itself to turn it on and nothing. It stated under new management. I asked the desk clerk how long has it been under new management and he stated 2 months. All I can say is this hotel is the pits and dirty. Would not recommend!!! Find somewhere else!!!

Looked condemned, asked to see the room and yucky dirty so asked for a refund still waiting on expedia for a answer. Did get an email from the hotel but nothing yet from expedia so probably a rip off

This Hotel is in a decent area but is run down. The room smelled musty. Screens were broken. The towel bar was falling off the wall. It did look like the breakfast area had been updated but the pool and fitness area were closed. Right now this is a tough place to stay.

They bear the Wyndham Name but it just a mofel and no staff or pool and grounds keeper, very disappointed that this was a no refund room that was misleading at the least very dirty and smelling. I dont know how Expedia deals with this type of misleading information without satisfying customer with a refund or relocation option or a REFUND regaurdless to the policy for this type of service and false information. Dirty carpet, windows, pool area, outside nasty with screens on the ground when i got there and same screen when i left smh....room smell very bad along with hallway i can go on but want. Ps they said they under new management display the brand name of a major hotel.

Our TV did not work there was cockroaches couldn't connect to Wi-Fi coffee was terrible

Horrible experience. Dirty, needs torn down. The place is a complete dump.

The Hotel was being renovated so no pool, no exercise room there were paint cans by the entrance and sheet rock. They still wanted to charge full price on a hotel that looked vacant. I did not stay we checked out early.

There was cat spray smell somewhere

Bedding sheets not clean, mold in shower, floors not vacuumed, appliances dirty. Breakfast options horrible. Never again....

When we arrived they told us they were under renovations so the pool was closed. I can get over renovations; however, the ceiling was peeling, the carpet coming away from the wall. The absolute worse was when we went out after that first night, we went down the stairs (mind your fire exit) and the door had an "L" bracket screwed closed. Went to the front desk and told them we were checking out and that it was unsafe to block the fire exit and her comment was "you’ll have to pay for today because its after checkout". We left, found another hotel and stopped at the fire department on the way to report it.
