Centara Riverside Hotel Chiang Mai

Lovely hotel. Staff very friendly. Only a short ride into city. Beds are super comfortable. Deluxe rooms are large but showing their age. Nice pool area and gym. Good value for money

We loved our stay at the hotel. The room was very comfortable and clean. The breakfast and evening buffets were really outstanding in terms of quality and selection. The staff were all so helpful and kind and had obviously been trained extremely well. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone and we found it very good value for money.

I rated negative due to the fact that the Chiang Mai government said it would be safe to breathe the sir it was not safe it was dangerous for any living creature to breathe the highly toxic air, therefore I am asking for a full refund for round trip air fare and full refund from your hotel. I will also contact Prime minister Srettha Thavisin regarding the lack of concern for public safety. I have been visiting Thailand for 10 years and have never experienced such a lack of concern for a tourist and for putting monetary gain over safety. The pollution was so bad that after the fact the safety protocols such as breathing rooms were put in place by Mr. Nirat. Had to run water a long time before it got hot. Carpets in Hallways rather old and stained.

This is a relatively new facility, and was designed as a modern, high-end hotel. However, it has fallen into severe disrepair. My stay here was awful due to the poorly maintained and/or non-functioning facilities. The only parts of the hotel that are really nice are the lobby and the breakfast bar area. All of the common area upstairs carpeting is damp, and there is a damp/mildewy odor throughout the hotel. In addition, the carpeting in my guest room had a strong damp and mildewy odor, which proceeded to give me a respiratory infection. I was staying here in order to perform concerts for 3 nights, and I had to cancel all of my performances because I was sick from the mildew in the carpet in my room. In addition, one of the main reasons I stayed in this hotel was for the gym and the sauna. The sauna was completely broken and off-line, and was not working at all. In addition, the gym was a joke. Although it was very large, there were hardly any free weights, and no barbell. In addition, the few weight machines they had were super low-quality and flimsy, to the point of being dangerous. This hotel really ruined my annual trip to Chiang Mai, and months later, I am still extremely upset about it. They should really refund my entire payment in full, before I leave this same review on every single travel website on the entire internet. Note: All of the staff here are REALLY nice and helpful. All of the above is solely due to the owners not maintaining their hotel.

Nice large rooms with river view , decor old style but well maintained. Staff very friendly and helpful. Great buffet breakfast and easy access to local restaurants too.
