Villa Cua

Very close to the ruins- clean and comfortable room. We had the best night sleep and the hotel owner was lovely.

Nothing it was lovely

The rooms are spacious, comfortable, very clean and nicely decorated. It is on the 3rd floor of an old building. The entrance from the street and the stairs would need to be redecorated but after few days we really like the authentic feel of it. The neighbourhood is authentic too and Villa Cua is few minutes away (walking) from Herculaneum old site (worth visiting). It is also at walking distance to the buses that take you to the entrance of the Vesuvio national park. Finally we had a great time every morning at little coffee shop.

The main hall and corridor were really hot and stuffy (the outside temperature was extreme when we went) and it might be the AC not functioning in the communal areas

Great location, nice touch with the included breakfast (my wife and I loved the cappuccino!!)

Everything was absolutely perfect!!! With a welcoming inroduction to the history of the villa, complete information and forwarding to our mobile in online form. Breakfast in the bar around the corner, a completely homely environment. Parking space too. Very nice rooms with spirit mood, kind all people. I can absolutely recommend it, we will be happy to come back!

Close to Herculaneum very nice proprietoer

The breakfast was not good around the corner lots of men no where to sit stand with croissant and coffee . We did not bother the 2nd day

- Overall clean and well equipped - Vending machine with decently priced drinks - Fridge in the room - Comfortable bed

- No self-Checkin possible - Extra fee for late Checkin (after 9 p.m.) - Breakfast was insufficient (just one coffee and one croissant at another place across the street (bar) - was not really transparent when booking) - Room would heat up when gone b/c power shuts off when you leave (no second key card provided) - Room was overall very small - Shower was not properly cleaned - Host appeared a little pushy in the online-communication

We stayed 2 nights here while we were exploring Naples and the Amalfi coast. Villa Cua is 10 mins walk from the train station. The place is nice, clean and well renewed, it was perfect for us, young travellers. Bed was really comfortable. The rooms are on the 2nd floor, if you are older or have problems with steps, keep that in mind. The host is a really communicative, will help you in everything. We got a nice and helpful brochure, check in, check out was easy. Booking includes breakfast, which is in a small cafá next to the place. It contains 1 crossaint and a drink or caffe per person. I think it should contain a bit more. Otherwise this, we had a pleasent stay here, which is well recommended!

Stylish and tasteful corner room in a historic building with exterior patina. Convenient nearby parking, and the proximity to Herculaneum is perfect. We’re pleased to have chosen this over Pompeii. At check-in, Salvatore provided an exemplary digital brochure with practical information and a brief historical overview of the building and nearby sights. Exemplary! Nice to have a drink vending machine by the entrance. Don’t forget to bring coins!

It was not made clear that the rooms were up high and we had to climb quite a few flights of difficult steps with our heavy luggage. On arrival the place was very hot, no a/c. I had to ask for a/c which was finally switched on. However it did not work properly, was very noisy and in one of the rooms did not work at all. As a result we had very little sleep and were extremely uncomfortable. The rooms have a rating of 9 which is very misleading. They are not a 9, possibly a 6. No tea or coffee making facilities. Also we were not shown where the fridge was and when we did find it, it was not switched on. I would like a refund as we did not have a good experience.
