Modern Apartments in North York

Bad check-in, unannounced ID and selfie requests delayed me, had to find keys in parking. Unhelpful reception. Room (Unit 2511) had dusty pillows, owner’s clothes in dryer—it’s a residential apartment, not a hotel. Paid parking per exit. Uncomfortable, wouldn’t recommend. Rating: 2/10

we arrived later then we expected due to unforseen circumstances, so the only thing missing from the check in instructions was the code to enter the building on yonge street to access the elevator to get down to the parking garage and retrieve the keys from the lockbox. we had to call the concierge to let us in after proving the other instructions we had to enter. i would say the parking situation is a bit difficult. i imagine if u were on your own with a car parked inside 2 anndale building, once u put back the key in the lockbox in the yonge street building there is no way to enter back into the 2 anndale parking lot without a fob to retrieve your car. based on the reviews from others this is the most difficult annoying part of the stay. Other than that everything was great!

Very difficult to get admittance to this apartment location. The communication and procedures where so difficult we won’t be coming back to this property and have us a bad taste to want to rent our apartment units through these kind of platforms.

Not enough signage directing where everything is. Only one fob and only 1 parking spot for 3 ppl, had out of towners. also u couldn’t use the jacuzzi or sauna with one fb since there is everything locked and needs 2 fobs to get in from the men’s and women’s change room. Was frustrating!

DO NOT BOOM WITH GLOBALSTAY. Upon arrival I noticed blood stains on the sheets and dirt or blood stains on the duvet, mold on the shower curtains and bed bug bites. I sent photos and they refused to refund me. They also charged me $80 for the stained duvet I complained about on the first day of my arrival.

DO NOT BOOK WITH GLOBALSTAYS. They are a scam. Disgusting!!! Upon arrival I noticed that the bed sheets had bloodstains and dirt/blood stains on the duvet. I took photos and sent it to their email the next morning. I also found MOLD on the shower curtain. A day later I start noticing I have bed bug bites. Following that day I am covered in bed bug bites. I tried to request my money back and they refused. Luckily Expedia deemed this unit unlivable and relocated me to a hotel near by. At the end of my stay I got an email from GlobalStays and they charged me $80 for the stained bed sheets and duvet!! DO NOT STAY HERE.

Ideally there are two sets of Keys. I was provided only one set and advised to pay$50/- for additional set of keys.it was inconvenient if myself and my spouse had to leave on come to the apartment at different time. It is not that we must go out together. So keys were an issue that caused inconvenience. Hosts like DelSuites or Airbnb always provide two sets of Keys.

This company called GlobalStay , on Bay Street, Toronto is not legit and it is not related to the Burano Condos that manage the building. They did not honor their own Checkout policy. The policy stated you give 4 hours notice to checkout late after noontime, we gave them 1.5 day prior notice for checkout late but they FAILED to comply with this written policy. They invade our privacy and throughout our luggage in the hallway unattended while we were out for an event. Further, they did not tell us where to leave the condo key after they removed us from the apartment and later they charged our credit card by not refunding the security deposit of $ 200. They violated the Expedia policy by communicating outside the its platform to charge that security deposit. There is no representative to them at the condo building as they stated in their direction. The front desk clerk at the building told us they have nothing to do with GlobalStay as it is considered Airbnb and they only deal with resident of Burano condos which a different management. It appears as if its a phantom company that they try to avoid liabilities if it arise. We have tried even to get their physical address inorder to file a legal action, they did not provide it and even they refuse to issue invoice for the $ 200 for charges justification, they refused. As it may relates to the condo itself, it was disappointing its size, very tiny not only that but also we have seen a mice running and we have taken vid and pics of it. You better to go to a one star motel that probably be better. We are suing them. DONT GO THERE IF YOU TAKE MY ADVISE.
