La Quinta by Wyndham Altoona Des Moines

Our stay was great.

The rate was really high, but we did not have a choice. Our rate was $185.

Overall the property is very nice. I debated on 5 all across, but there were a few things that dropped me from excellent. Cleanliness was dropped because the carpet in the breakfast area still had food on it when we checked in. Maintenance because the room door would not open or close without force, the sink drained slow and the caulk where the countertop joined the backsplash had separated. All issues that can be resolved quickly with the right maintenance team.

Hashbrowns were a little burnt.

Was a good place to stay. My room could of been a bit more cleaner for my liking other then that everything else was great

Property looked to be recently refreshed, but the bathtub/shower did not. Otherwise, nice property, sufficient for our needs & hot breakfast. Unfortunately, we were charged twice for our stay, once by Expedia & once by the hotel & hoping to get that refunded.

The check in lady was having a rough night…alarm going off, lots of people checking in….she still kept her cool! She was very friendly! Clean! Friendly! We were very pleased with our stay!

It’s nice! There are easy gas stations to get to, fast food and sit down close.

Rooms very comfortable, staff very nice, gym well equipped didn’t use the pool.
