Midtown Niseko

Clean property and the included breakfast was nutritional.

Rooms were a little small

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was warm, there was plenty of cupboard space and compared to other Japanese accommodations it wasn't the smallest place I've stayed, it was roomy enough. The breakfast was the same everyday, no variety and only a small number of vegetarian options, but enough to fill me up for a day on the ski hill.

Niseko is expensive and this was one of the cheaper options, even though it is outside of the main village, there are free shuttle buses to and from the village/ski hill. It looks like some people opt to stay in Kutchan and take the regular bus from there to the ski hill- the prices there were a little cheaper if I remember correctly. As in most places in Japan, the heating isn't centralised so some areas are cooler than others- the lifts being one notable spot. Mostly quiet, but some people seem to make a lot of noise when walking/running around upstairs?

Breakfast was solid and opens early! Common area for cooking is helpful as Niseko restaurant scene is limited. Price/ Value is excellent. Lcation is great ... bus loads right outside. There is a restaurant w- small bar onsite. Food trucks / Lawsons are a 10 minute walk, but prepared as walkway can be icy.

2 coffee machines is NOT enough. Think about adding a large scale drip coffee, so people don't have to queue for small cups made from the multi-offer machines. Consider opening for dinner earlier ... maybe 5:30pm. No onsite or nearby onsen.

Food at the restaurant was not the best

Clean hotel. Staff are kind and very accommodating

The dinner menu was not great, the restaurant used frozen food for all meals we received and it was a really long wait
