Hotel Vista Sierra

Very nice!

NOT a pet-friendly hotel. Be prepared for a lockout and interrogation if you have a service dog. We stayed here for three nights while visiting family. On the second night my wife and I got back to our room at 11:30, but our electronic key didn’t work. So, I left my wife and stuff at the door and went to the front desk. I told the lady there that the key isn’t working for some reason. She looks at the screen and says, “do you have a dog?” I said yes. “Well why didn’t you tell us? This is NOT a pet-friendly hotel” (which was repeated many times during the conversation). I said I’m not required to tell you if I have a service animal, but it stays with us at Marriotts all the time. She then starts questioning me asking what are my health issues related to this dogs service and quickly decides I have a pet that will be charged an additional $120 a night. I said I guess I will just dispute that charge with American Express. Then she says, “I’m getting the manager” and stomps off. She tells the manager I said I will dispute the charge. The manager said I have that right. So she said “then shall I unlock their room?” and I was allowed to go back into my room. End of story . . . I’ll just leave this right here for you to decide. The experience was so rude.

Ehh.. This place is like a wannabe resort. It really tries, but doesn't have the infrastructure or talent. No dedicated conceriege, no bell service, the “restaurant”, which is really a slightly modified Springhill gathering space is lackluster. Its not a bad option to stop over and sleep off the freeway— DEFINATELY not worth a vacation. The staff is nice, but that won't help give off vacation vibes— my advice —get some real programming — the local DJ isn't cutting it. Also, I'm not sure but they is this wide shoulder lady who stands behind your front desk— she is very confrontational— Melissa? I was simply asking the desk person some questions and this lady jumps in and is super extra. She needs some serious hospitality training— this isn't a country barn your working at.

Very accommodating and helpful. Great front desk actions of food and drink. Wonderful in hotel dining. Great breakfast hours, breakfast food, and seating space. What a hidden gem.

Staff are courteous and helpful. Breakfast meal offered is well rounded, includes eggs, fruit, cereal, etc. many options. Room is very nice, bed and pillows are comfy. This is our 2nd time staying here. We go for an annual family reunion which is less than 10 minutes away. Very convenient. We had a very nice view of the hills also.

Great stay

This is a "standard" Marriott Spring Hill Suites that promotes itself as providing an "enchanced, resort-like experience" with a fancy name of Sierra Vista. We stayed here last year and nothing has changed and there is very little that can be considered enhanced. Its the same room. Its the same lobby. Its the same breakfast offering. Its the same pool area and fitness center. Its the same wifi. NONE of these features of the hotel are enhanced. And the front desk staff (2 people) could barely figure out how to register us and record our credit card after multiple attempts.
