Park Hyatt Kyoto

Stayed here with my family in Feb 2026. Amazing hotel, a real gem. The siting, the design, the staff, the restaurants, the bar at sunset- all fantastic. The ocation is probaby the best of any hotel in Kyoto. Expensive but worth the splurge.

The hotel location is fantastic. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the rooms were exceptionally nice. The hotel staff also made a couple of great local restaurant recommendations.

The Park Hyatt Kyoto is the epitome of hospitality. I have had the good fortune to stay at many beautiful hotels, but not one other property comes anywhere close to our experience here. Every single person we encountered welcomed us with warmth and care. While the property, accommodations (the bed! the tub! the shower! the views! the lighting! the amenities! the interior design! the bar overlooking the pagoda at night!), gym and food were all perfection, they paled in comparison to the team of dedicated, hard-working, hospitable human beings who made us feel like our comfort was their greatest pleasure and like we had returned home (even though we had never been there before).

Park Hyatt Kyoto was the best hotel stay I have every experienced. This was a special treat during my wife and I's 2 week trip to Japan. We stayed at the park Hyatt for 3 nights and everything about the stay was great. The buildings architecture was really cool and very zen. They did a great job with the design and building it into the land. The rooms were spotless, the location was very walkable and although it got busy during the day, by 6 pm it was very quiet. The staff were so friendly and helpful. This was the most expensive place we stayed while in Japan and one of the most expensive places we have ever stayed, it was certainly a budget stretcher for us, but that said in my opinion the price is 100% justified.

While we had a very high expectation for this property prior to arriving, the property and the PH Kyoto team greatly surpassed our initial expectations. Exemplary service that seemed to anticipate every need combined with a stunning physical property. The size of the property allowed it to be spacious but very personal and it was a wonderful location to explore Kyoto from during our stay.
