Cliff House Hotel

The service from staff at this hotel was impeccable, and they could not do enough for you. The food was amazing including breakfast. I myself and the Mrs will be returning to this Hotel later in the summer for sure. Fantastic Stay 👍

Great location, short walk to beach, very helpful staff and lovely food.

Lovely friendly atmosphere right from check-in. This good, but relaxed, service continued right through, including breakfast time and evening meal. (Both meals were delicious). The hotel is right next to Clifton Rd. If you walk along Clifton Rd the sea front is only a couple of hundred yards away, and the zig-zag path down to the sandy beach right in front of you. That was a lovely surprise! A lot of the hotel, including our room, has been recently refurbished - all very smart, including an Espresso maker in the room. However, being an old building, it also has a nice homely and comfortable ambience as well as modern conveniences. There is also a regular bus service right outside the hotel between Christchurch, Bournemouth and Poole, which makes it easy to visit these without the hassle of finding parking. Its obvious from the 'vibe' that the (newish) owner clearly takes a pride and real personal interest in the hotel and guests. Hope we'll be back sooner rather than later!

We have very much enjoyed our stay and will definitely come back. The room was clean, large and quiet. The bathroom had both bath and walk in shower. The location is perfect. The restaurant is fantastic, we can highly recommend fish and chips as main and chocolate fondant for dessert. Overall great food, thank you Chef and fantastic breakfast too. Staff in restaurant are lovely, friendly & polite. We have been looking for a nice friendly hotel in Bournemouth and I'm glad that we have finally found it. Thank you very much.

Very welcoming friendly hotel, lovely food, great location only a few minutes walk to the beach. Very children friendly with a great big garden to play in. Room was very spacious and comfortable. Would definately recommend and would stay again if I was in the area.

Earlier in the month we stayed in room 10 which was spacious. There wasn't any hot water in the morning and there was loud music playing until gone 11pm and then again before 8am. Breakfast was amazing and the staff are fantastic. Our second stay was room 14. Pretty tight room but clean and comfortable. The shower didnt drain so it got flooded and the radiator was leaking. We had dinner that night and were told they were out of lobster. The couple ording after us got lobster. Probably just bad communication between waiting staff and kitchen but was a bit dissappointing. Breakfast again was amazing. This is our favourite hotel in the area. Obviously a couple of issues but still love it.

As this was an anniversary getaway, I requested in advance a room with a bath and if something could be put on the bed such as Something small like Pettlels that they would apparently normally do especially as we were also bringing guests. This was not put in place, even when phoning to confirm several days before. It was also mentioned that there would be breakfast sent to the room, this was not the case. Room window would not shut fully causing the plastic on the front of the bath to make noises throughout the night.

Helpful staff, clean rooms, nice garden and a good breakfast.
