Cliff House Hotel

I have staywd a few times now and I am happy with the service and staff and welcoming and friendly.

We had a private function at the Cliff house last weekend. I can’t recommend this place enough, Richard and his team were amazing, couldn’t have been more friendly and accommodating. The party was amazing, food was fantastic, staff couldn’t have been better. We stayed overnight and had a great breakfast in the morning, thank you Richard and team, we can’t wait to come and stay again soon 😊

Lovely hotel , amazing food , lovely family atmosphere on a special occasion like this , kids loving the garden although the garden could do with a bit of cleaning and tidying up , it’s just nice to chill as well outside on a sunny day , accommodating and friendly staff, the place might be able to extend so can accommodate more tables for lunch and dinner , lovely hidden little gem in southbourne!

Admittedly it was only a one night stay for us, and we had to leave early the next morning. But still surprised at the number of negative reviews here. We found this to be a very cute little boutique hotel, where there had clearly been some time, attention and money spent on keeping the interior looking smart. No, not 'fancy' as such, but a very comfortable nights sleep, nice bar with a very comfy sofa, and what looked like a decent sized restaurant with some interesting looking food on the menu (sadly we didn't get a chance to try it - next time!). Also well located for cliff walking away from the busier Bournemouth beaches. Oh and credit goes to Hugo, who we probably kept up way beyond his bedtime, with us wanting extra drinks! Also another lady who was front of house in the restaurant that night but unfortunately I didn't get her name (so sorry... you might remember us as we were talking about children, studies and finances!!). Really great advert for the hotel, and we'll be back if we are in the area again. If only to get the breakfast I missed out on last time...

We had a brilliant stay, the hotel is small and really welcoming. The room was beautiful and spacious with lovely extra touches. Breakfast was fabulous with good quality produce. This was a real little gem with lovely staff. I willl definitely be back!

Very spacious room we had during our stay, the only issue was the shower, didn't have cold water at all, there was a sign to keep the tap running for 5 min to get to ideal temperature ,but even after 20 min running, it was only very hot water which we hardly took shower with, everything else was fine, also no telephone in the room to report any issue such as above.

My husband and I stayed at Cliff House for a last minute anniversary getaway. We were lucky enough to be upgraded to a beautiful room. The hotel is clean and lovely. Every staff member we came into contact with were very helpful and chatty. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend.

Needs updating poor shower

No phone in room, breakfast very good with good selection, location very good and easy to find,

A few minutes walk to the beach and within walking distance to local restaurants and bars. Service and food was really great but the room needed a little attention to justify the cost.
